Normally I would say who cares since it was a preseason game, but I was part of the big deal that Packerfan made about getting tickets last year to the Bears/packers game in Soldier Field.
But I think the key phrase that Packerfan never understood about those tickets last year is given by the Packers as the reason they also have tickets:
"A few hundred tickets were not utilized by the Titans, according to Mark Wagner, the Packers' director of ticket operations."
IHATETHEBEARS:So because the Titans didn't use some of their allotted tickets they've now been given back to the Packers to sell to their own fans?
YES. Every home team has that right and not just the NFL. These aren't tickets that the opposing team can sell, but comp tickets for their VIP's, family members, etc.
I just got REALLY good tickets to a Cubs game last week from Cubs.com at face value that were tickets unused by the opposing team, Cubs VIP's, Cubs family, MLB officials, etc. Picked them up the day of the game on the site. ALL teams hold back tickets for VIP's and release them within a few days of a game if they dont think they will be used.

You always hear about cases like this. Did you get them from Ticketmaster? I remember readig something somewhere that said even for soldout events, you should always keep checking because sometimes tickets do get sent back for reasons such as this.

It is just common sense- something Packer Fan doesn't seem to always have. Let's say a stadium holds 65,000 people- we'll call it Lambeau Field. The game is sold out. Not a seat to be had- Right?
What do you think would happen if Reggie White's widow called and asked for 4 seats? Or someone from the commissioner's office? Or the opposing team's coach wanted seats for his wife and kids? Of course they would get them tickets- but the game is sold out.
When the game gets closer and the team realizes that they have too many tickets saved for VIP's, they release them to the general public within days of the game. You won't find these 2 weeks before the game, but maybe 1-3 days prior.

This is what I don't get about you dbears.
I said I personally passed on 100+ unique tickets on the days leading up to the Packer/Bear game, as I was trying to figure out my holiday plans (Wife wanted to go home Friday, I wanted to wait until Sunday or Monday and a bunch of other things). So I made the statement that 100's if not 1000's of tickets were available from ticketmaster. And you called me a liar. I posted the 6 tickets that I bought and you still called me a liar and said maybe a few were available but not 100's or 1000's.
Now you come back and say I'm foolish for not knowing that 100's of tickets are available all of the time?
You can't have it both ways. Were the 100's if not 1000's of tickets available for the Bears game or not? Because you called me a liar. I don't care why the tickets were available. I know you insisted they weren't and now you seem to think it is common knowledge that they always are available.
But I still find it odd that for a regular season Packers/Bears game, these tickets were so readily available on ticketmaster, for long periods of time, over the course of a few days. And I stick to my assumption that if Packer tickets went up on ticketmaster for the same regular season game at Lambeau, that would not happen.
Bill Swerski Super Fan:If i'm right and I think I am, the Packers don't sell tickets through Ticketmaster, but sell all their released tickets the morning of the game at their box office. There is no comparison because they are sold differently. You're trying to compare apples and oranges.
But you know they wouldn't be available for hours or days if they were sold via ticketmaster.

Here we go again.
The Bears had tickets available because teams release their tickets they aren't using. This happens usually just a few days before the game (usually tickets are released on Thursday before a Sunday game.)
The fact that you came across tickets days before the game is because THEY ARE RELEASED DAYS BEFORE THE GAME. They are not advertised, and still they are snatched up. IHTB and everybody here seems to get this except for you. It is beyond lame to pretend that the Bears fans do not support the Bears, as evidenced in your mind because you happened to stumble upon some released tickets.
But no matter how many times this is pounded into your head you refuse to accept the information. So go ahead and believe you are right...the Bears don't sell out their games, and their fans have no interest in buying premium seats to games, while Packer fans camp out to wait for tickets...happy? It's not reality, but you are set on believing that.

If tickets for Lambeau were sold via ticketmaster, they would not be available for hours or days. We both know that. There might be a small minority of people, willing to go to Lambeau to take the risk of getting extra tickets, but don't you find it odd that an area of 10 million people didn't snatch up those ticketmaster tickets? Let's see, I just bought my Soldier Field tickets with ease, after passing up hundreds. Do you really think it is that easy to get a ticket to Lambeau Field? Try it.

called you a LIAR because of the "if not 1,000's of comments".. *never* argued the 100's.. as we BOTH KNOW all you can do on ticketmaster is order 4 tickets.. so for you to see 100's or 1,000's you would ned to AT A MINIMUM have clocked 250+ times, and since ticketmaster, makes you type in the "secrtet word" before going further to stop "spam bots".. that would mean you had retyped in AT A MINIMUM over 250 different passwords to see seats, AND have writtern down the exact seats each time to make sure "unique" and not just the same seats, which i'm 100% sure you enver did.. so you lied. and then went off the deep end tewlling us there would be a huge amount of pakcer fans 10,000+ becuase of all these tickets and pakcerfans there,, which we both kno
