It also gives Skille or Dowell a better shot at making the team, though they'd probably get scratched a lot.

Lost the Victoria Cup game to the Zurich team but I don't think anyone in the US really cares. It's their home ice, International ice surface and rules, their season already started, they didn't have to fly halfway across the world and face jet lag, and it's only preseason to the Hawks who were probably just not trying to get hurt.

If the NHL was smart(funny isn't it?) they'd allow all Versus games to be shown in the local markets on their regular channels since there are a lot of people who didn't get versus through cable, and even more that lost it with the Direct TV debacle.

It's not like NBC where everyone gets the channel, even without cable or satellite providers.

Well since he cleared waivers, combined with the fact that Niemi is dressed as the backup, he has to go down when the Hawks get back. They are allowed to carry an extra player in Europe and there is no way they are carrying 3 goalies all year.
