    Best Wings

Now there is a difference between Buffalo wings and just plain hot wings.  Buffalo wings are deep fried before the sauce is applied as opposed to some places that bake the wings.

My vote for best Buffalo wings in the Chicago area would be Franks for the Memories in Mundelein.

Buffalo Wild Wings is okay, I like their variety of sauces.  But they have skimpy little wings that pale in comparison to Franks' big, meaty wings.  Plus the hot sauce at Franks beats the hot sauce at BWW, IMO.

I know both places use the original Buffalo wings recipe made famous by the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY.

Any other good places for wings?

    Re: Best Wings

I have always been a fan of BW3, since I stumbled across them in Champaign in the  mid 90's.  My favorite sauce is the spicy garlic, try it on pork chops or America cut ribs some time.  awesome.

The last few times at BW's though (mostly the Bolingbrook location) the experience has been extremely poor.  Awful service, and the wings come out immediately after you order and are lukewarm at best..  I think they make massive batches, and shake them in a little sauce, and serve.

Mostly, now I just get their sauce, and use my turkey fryer at home to make my own.

Johnny B's in Brookfield are very good. $6.00 for a dozen.

Best I have every had is north of the cheddar curtain, Legend Larry's in Sheboygan, WI.
