I finally have a few extra minutes to recap the Eagles-Bears Tailgate Party. We had 116 guests. After just two home games this season, we have already hosted 217 people from 14 different states! 23 of our 116 guests were Eagles Fans. It's too bad all Eagle Fans couldn't be as nice and friendly as all these guys were. From what I heard (from the Eagles Fans after the game), Bear fans weren't too nice to them inside the stadium. I'm not sure if it is a record for us or not - - - but 757 beers were consumed at the Tailgate Party! I didn't count the bottles of liquor before the party, but I know we polished off 8 bottles of Vodka, 3 bottles of Whiskey and 2 bottles of Jagermeister! One highlight of the party was the Ice Carving that the "Ice Man" from Ice Carving Enterprises brough over. He was trying to sell the Ice Sculptures to people in the parking lot. I told him we weren't interested, and he eventually gave us a free sample. It was a slope w/ a river like channel down it and it said Go Bears on each side. It made for some very cold Jager Bombs! The website for the Ice Man (Phil Hurst) is http://www.icecarve.com
On top of a great Tailgate Party, we were also able to enjoy a great Football Game!!!
We'll be taking the next two (Minn & Det) Home Games off. We will be Tailgating before Tenn, Jax, NO, GB and hopefully a home playoff game!
* * * IMPORTANT NOTES * * *
* I will be out of the country from Thanksgiving Day until December 5th. I'm not sure if I'll have internet access while I'm gone?? If you are interested in joining us for the Jaguars game - - - please complete your reservations before Thanksgiving.
* On the website, it mentions the New Orleans and Green Bay games will be "limited" Tailgate Parties. I've received several e-mails asking if we can make an exception for them. We figured the easiest way to handle this......is to keep all Tailgate Parties open to anyone interested in joining us. However, we may mix up the menu a little bit for the last couple of games?
