anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

4 of us are going to the game - currently scheduled for 12 PM.... hopefully, it will get pushed back to 3:15 PM or so.

Anyway, my guys and I are heading up from Chicago very early in the morning and just wanted to see if anyone wanted to kind of combine spaces and have a nice presence some where.

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

I'm not making the trip North this season.  However, I would recommend using the KMart Parking Lot as a place to meet & Tailgate.  Very close to the stadium, opens early, easy to find, etc...

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

I hope you are talking about the Packers Bears game?????? There is a KMart parking lot near Lamb-butt field, I might be at the game, see I live very close to Green bay and as the Packers lose the tickets become cheaper and cheaper. After the game I head to a bar called Time Out they let tolerate the Packers

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

As another possible option, the Packers have set up heated tents next to the stadium on the east side, here's the info.

We're going to try that,  and it would be nice to get some blue and orange in there.

We've won 4 straight up there and we need this one!!
fyi  I've seen tix available for this game in the $175  range recently on ebay.  Get yourselves up there!!

    GO BEARZZZZZ!

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

As the originator of this post - I am talking about the Bears-Packers game next week.

Four of us will be tailgating, but not sure where to go yet.  I would like to park in the Lambeau lot, but likely won't be able to.  If anyone wants to combine efforts, let me know.  Otherwise, just looking forward to seeing a lot of Blue and Orange.

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

    Hello,

We are attending the 11/16 game and would luv to tailgate w/true Chgo fans. I am originally from Chgoland and moved "up north" almost 8 years ago.  :-(  Blame it on the spouse. ;-) LOL  He's originally from IN but did live in Chgo for 20 plus years. I have been seeking true Chgo fans everywhere to have some pre-game fun with and just did my own post seeking same.

Please respond if interested with details.

FYI - The 7 day forecast is calling for a "high" of 37 (if we are lucky) and some snow flurries.

     Thank you kindly,

    Maria (46) & Jeff (53)

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

I have done this before as a guest of one of my vendors or clients.

It's not bad and definitley more fun with a group - let alone a group of Chicago fans.

Ticket prices have been unbelievable. I paid a premium BUT worth it to see my Bears and our seats are awesome. OK, sorry a little bragging. ;-)

Please contact me if you would like to make a group effort.

    Thank you kindly,

    M & J

    Hi Rookie,

Did you see my message about looking for tailgate Chicago fans?

    Interested?

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

    FYI

Come in on Oneida St vs Lombardi

You can get parking right outside of L Field and it's actually better relative to departing after the game. Everyone turns their front lawns into parking spaces. Dependant upon how close it will range from $20 to $30.

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

Talk of a celebration afterwards may be a bit premature, considering we may still have Grossman at the helm!

Ok I agree but pre-game could be fun.

How about all us Bears fans go to the Tundra Tailgate?

Say what you will about the Packers but wow what a difference between them and the Bears when it comes to tailgaiting.  The Bears ban in-game tailgating and the Packers sponsor it.

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

Sorry for just now getting to respond - it's been a CRAZY week.

That said, is anyone interested in throwing in for a lambeau parking pass?  That way we can park wherever, but have someone set up the grill, etc. right next to Lambeau - and we can then just park wherever and bring out beer.  At the tailgate tundra, you're going to be paying extra for beer, food, etc.  Otherwise, we were going to park somewhere near there anyway.

If anyone wants to do the tailgate tundra, we will join as well - maybe for 30-45 minutes.  But, we figure that it is better to set up our own tailgate - and if nobody wants to get a pass at Lambeau, we will probably go over to Kmart and set up there - we have a mini-weber.

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

You are correct in that one must pay $5 to enter and then in addition purchase whatever food and beverage they want.

Nevertheless, there is the advantage of being in a heated tent w/tables and chairs plus the private lav's are amazing - seriously ! :-)

I figure it's 6 of 1 and a 1/2 dozen of another. ;-) Meaning, you either pay for the convenience of having it all done for you plus warmth (Sun. temp is a high of 31)and entertainment or you cook your own and ultimately you still pay for food and beverages, charcoal and your outside. There is no right or wrong.

All that being said, a few other gents have contacted me and we are meeting in front of the Tundra Zone between 10 a &1030 a and we're hoping to entice more Bear fans along the way to join us.   We would be pleased to have you join us.

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

To everyone going to the Tundra Zone - - - you will still need a place to park.  Like Soldier Field, all the parking spaces directly around the stadium require a parking pass.  Like someone else mentioned, there are plenty of Day of Game Cash Parking Lots available...... including many people's lawns!

From experience, your best bet is to park in the KMart lot (less than 2 blocks from the stadium).  It opens earlier than the Lambeau Lots, isn't too expensive, has a KMart available for last minute or forgotten supplies, restrooms inside and outside and there are always a ton of Bear Fans Tailgating in this lot.

Have Fun, Stay Warm and Cheer us on to Victory!!!

Re: anyone tailgating in Green Bay want to combine efforts?

My friend and I are going to our first Bears/Packers game this Sunday (11-16) and we are really pumped.  This will be my 4th road game but only his first.  I am really excited for him.  This will also be my first ever trip to Lambeau Field as well.

I happen to see your thread and was wondering if you would like to join up with us.  I don't mind being alone but I thought it would be cool to join some other die hard fans.

Feel free to get back to me if you are interested in meeting up with a couple of young, loyal and cheerful Bears fans.

    Thanks,
    Brian (Bucktown)

    Hola Everyone,

I think the Kmart and Tundra options both sound great.

Allow me to reiterate for anyone interested......

We have a group meeting up in front of the Tundra Zone between 10a and 1030a. Look for the 5ft "tall" ;-) brunette ring leader ;-) in a tan suede coat wearing her Urlacher jersey!

I hope to meet you all and look forward to hooking up and having some fun Chicago style!

    GO BEARS!!!!!!
