    RUGBY - Chicago Blaze

    The Chicago Blaze will taken on the West Side Harlequins from Milwaukee, WI this Saturday, May 23, 1:00 PM in Lemont, IL for the CARFU Cup championship

    How exactly do you play rugby? I've watched, it looks cool, but I don't know anything about it.

    It's a wimpy version of football where pads aren't required due to the "special tackles" they use to minimize injury.

    In the UK a lot of Rugby players view American Football players as soft because they play with the pads on.

    The mighty Chicago Blaze traveled to Toledo, OH on 10/10/09 to face the Toledo Celtics,  #1 team in the Eastern Conference.  The Blaze won by a score of 41-13 to remain undefeated in league play.

    Next match vs. the Chicago Condors 10/17 in Lemont, IL

    In the UK a lot of Rugby players view American Football players as soft because they play with the pads on.
    I can imagine them talking about how wimpy American players are over tea & crumpets.

    The Blaze remain undefeated in league play with a win over the Chicago Westside Condors 54-17

    Next match Saturday 10/24 vs. the Northwest Woodsman in Lemont, IL

    The Chicago Blaze completed league play undefeated with a 24-10 win over the Northwest Woodsman last Saturday (10.24)  in Lemont.

    The Blaze travel to Des Moines, IA for a 10/31 match against Clinton Muddy River in a playoff match to determine the #1 seed in the Midwest Western League for the Spring playoffs.

    Congratulations to the Chicago Blaze the Western Conference Champions of the Midwest Rugby Football Union.

    The Chicago Blaze defeated Clinton Muddy River by a score of 38-19 in Des Moines, IA on 10/31/09.
