Do you really think we can beat the Cardinals?

Maybe its just the way things have been going for me lately.. I have a negative view on things.... Hell sometimes the Bears are the only thing that cheers me up anymore.... But after the display against the Browns... Do you really think we can pull it off tomorrow even at home against one of the most talented set of WR's and QB's in the league?

Win or lose... I'm ganna die a Bears fan.

But It's always a good medicine to hear from positive bears fans why they think we can pull out the win.

Re: Do you really think we can beat the Cardinals?

The Cardinals have plenty of problems themselves.  Last week they looked terrible against Carolina, at least the bears won the easy game.  We definitely have a chance.  Their defense is weak on all fronts, and their offense hasn't been as monstrous as it was last year.

We can really get down to worrying when we go up against the 49ers.

Re: Do you really think we can beat the Cardinals?

If our o-line doesnt block better,if Forte doesnt start running better,if Cutler dont stop making mistakes,if our offense doesnt score more in the redzone,if Turner dont call better schemes,if our d-line dont get to Warner,if our def.backs dont do a better job at covering,if Lovie dont trash the cover 2,then HELL NO!!! WE WONT BEAT THE CARDINALS. ......Very disgruntle bears fan!

Re: Do you really think we can beat the Cardinals?

The Cards are just as shaky as we are. At times they look good, and other times they look like crap. But they did the same thing last year, even though they made it to the Superbowl, they hardly looked like world beaters in the regular season.

Both teams have been inconsistant all year...........this game goes down to the fourth quarter.  A close one either way.

Re: Do you really think we can beat the Cardinals?

It all depends on how the Cardinals play if the come out and play like they did against the Giants than we probably won't if they come out and play like they did against the panthers and colts then we will have a very good chance i hope we can pull this one off.

The fact that this question even needs to be asked is indicative of how dramatically the NFL landscape has changed in recent years.

can the little giants beat the cowboys?

Can we finally admit after a case history far worse than anyone else that Chicago is the worst sports city? Can we give up the tired old Philly and New York beating?

I think they're mad because they're so ugly. Watch the crowd shots at a Bears game. These people are all fat, nasty hideous gargoyles.

Any team is beatable. Some are just harder to beat than others. Obvious but what the hey.

Re: Do you really think we can beat the Cardinals?

I had extremely high expectations for this team, but that loss to the Bengals really hurt me bad. After the way we lost that game, i can no longer consider this a good football team. Good football teams don't get beatdown like that and embarrassed while knowing in advance what their opponent was going to do, yet failing to even attempt to stop it. Benson was claiming all week how he was going to run on us, and then he comes out and does it. Completely ridiculous. That was our chance to shut him up, but we got ran on and embarrassed anyway, and the offense continues to sputter and look pre-schoolish under Turner. I love the Bears as much as anyone, but the writing is on the wall. We are just not a very good team. I expect the Cardinals to win.

Re: Do you really think we can beat the Cardinals?

pressure on warner, followed by more pressure on warner= win , we can do it , its up to " D " fense we need to get pumped up for a push in this second half of the season if we want to make playoffs, it starts tommorrow!!!! i hope for our sake we come out all over warner , and then let that momentum carry over to " O " fense and have cutler and the boys LIGHT IT UP!!!!! YEAH I SAID PUSH FOR THE PLAYOFFS DONT GIVE YOUR FRICKIN NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT IT EITHER I AM A OPTIMIST WHEN IT COMES TO OUR CHICAGO BEARS, SO SAY SOMETHING POSITIVE OR PUT YOUR NEGATIVE CRAP ON SOMEONE ELSE'S POST. GO BEARS!!!!!!

Can't really think that way tho about good teams. I still consider the Giants a good team and they have had their a$$es handed to them the past couple weeks.

We sure can. Th Cardinals have the same record as we do for a reason. They are also inconsistent.

This team has it's problems, but Lovie's famous defense is actually a pretty good scheme for a team like the Cards. Let the corners play man to man (Tillman has been assigned that for every big name receiver we've faced this season, it won't stop with Fitz) and the Cover 2 can keep Warner in check.

If we get a pass rush going too....the Cards could fall out of their element.

Last week gave me renewed hope in our defense (even it was just the Browns), I just wish our O-Line spent the last week doing steriods or injecting concrete into their legs.

As much as i love the bears,,this years team is nothing but a disappointment. I want to hope for the best, but I'm also a realist. If they do beat the cardinals. I only see them going 3-5 the rest of the way...at best. But if they do sqeak into the playoffs,,do any of you honestly think this is a team that would get to the superbowl? I am one that is not happy just making the playoffs. If they get in,,i want them to be good enough to go all the way. Its pointless making the playoffs if you arent good enough to win it all. Just ask minnesota twins fans about that.

Football isn't baseball. There aren't $250 mil teams facing $50 million dollar teams. Everyone laughed at the Cardinals last year. They were supposed to get blown out against Carolina and ATL, but beat them both and then beat the Eagles who squeaked into the playoffs. IF the Bears got into the playoffs, they could be one of the most dangerous teams. They are so unpredictable and can get hot at the right time. Also remember the 07 Giants. Started off 5-5 and everyone was criticizing Eli Manning like he was Rex Grossman. He had a game where he threw 4 pick 6's against the Vikings. They ended up ending the Patriots undefeated season in the SB. As critical as we may all be with this team, there is still a chance whether the biggest critics want to say it or not.

this game could be the make or break for us.  Since the Cincy debacle, we have made changes.  maybe the hapless Browns were the reason, but in any event we looked very good.  Sure we had red-zone issues.  but it was an improvement (in the past we had turnovers, not FG's).

And with Omiyale on the bench, hunter back in the middle, roach outside and coutler not making as many mistakes, we shoudl be fine.

I will also add that we DO have Cutler still.  he is going to continue to win games for us.  He has had a couple of good games and a coupld of not so good games.  But he is still a great QB.  there will be a game or two along the way here where he takes over (think of the 4th quarter of the pitt game).

I think tomorrow cutler gets it rolling and we slow down AZ.

they cant run (see this thread for reasons why http://boards.chicagobears.com/forums/thread/1892208.aspx)

    We should be fine.
