Btwice80:i'd like to first start off by saying.... 2005 World Champions. Alright, now that's out of the way.... GO SOX. Who likes waiting 100 years for anything? I used to not mind the cubs, but as displayed by the messages already on this post... cubs fans act like all sox fans are poor or trashy. It's disrespectful... totally untrue... and an excuse for 100 years of terrible cubs baseball.

Witness Protection is an exaggeration, he only had to find a new job and a new place to live.
junkyarddogg:
2005 World Champs
2006 didn't even make the playoffs, kind of makes that title seem like a fluke.
Ok, by that logic...
Cubs - 1908 World Champs!!
1909 - no playoffs? 1908 was definitely a fluke!!
Al Bundy: junkyarddogg: 2005 World Champs 2006 didn't even make the playoffs, kind of makes that title seem like a fluke.
The difference is I can remember how bad the Sox sucked in 06 with basically the same team they had in 05.
In 1909 the Cubs finished 104-49 and easily would have made the playoffs if there were more than 8 NL teams at the time.
Face it dude, the Sox will always come in 2nd in the 2nd city.
I'm not sure I'm liking this logic. Because that would mean the 1985 Bears were a fluke, and we all know that the best NFL team of all-time was NOT a fluke!
Hate them both.
Hate the Cubs more though.
Robb Bond:Cubs ... I wasn't aware there was another team in Chicago.

White Sox
Cubs have been a running joke for a century, and I look forward to what sort of new and creative way they find to blow it
HAHAh ..I knew there was another one..but i just ignored them..they couldnt even think of a good name for themselves ..they had to copy another teams name and change the color..sorry Redsox...there are not all the smart!lol
GO CUBBIES
dougdascenzo: Cubs.
Cubs.
Cubs!
First off, I refuse to respect any baseball team where the pitchers are too feminine to bat, and second, the Sox didn't have Harry Carey!
Harry is the reason I became a Cub fan back in 83 when we first got cable and WGN.
Cardinals.
Go Cubs Go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Bears

Oh yes they did! Before Harry was hired away by the Cubs in '82, he was the White Sox announcer from '71-'81. Harry started the tradition of singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th inning stretch @ Sox games long before he every went to Wrigley Field...
