...Jared Allen. Orlando Pace-asuarus will get beat on nearly every snap unless he has a tag team partner. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs their noggin checked.
I have to believe Allen salavates uncontrollably when he thinks about how many opportunities he'll get to plant Cutler into the ground. You think the packer series was bad? Ours will be brutal.
My spider senses tell me Jared Allen has Jay Cutlers GQ picture on his cabin wall, hanging by a huge hunting knife, and he wears only a bandana while he skins animals and stares at it...
In my experience, the lower you set the bar, the less you will be disappointed haha. BTW i hope to god I am wrong
your wrong were going 13-3

Re: Vikings WILL sweep us if only for one reason....
If they make mistakes, like they did against the steelers then they wont sweep us. If we play a 3 INT game, we will lose very very quickly. It's anyones game, if we show up to play we will win, if we dont, they win. Simple. As for Pace and Allen, PAce has done good pass blocking bigger rushers, its the little ones that kill him. He has not been too good this year but he has had some great games. I think Pace can take him.

Yeah, Favre never played in the cold in Green Bay... Vikings sweep the Bears -- one of which will probably be as ugly as the Cincy defeat.
The last several times Favre played us in the cold he had horrible games. The cold obviously affected him.
Or is it more likely that the Bears had better teams on those days?
Favre's record in the cold is outstanding.
The Bears 7-9 mess was 28 points better than the Packers NFC title game team because they were the "better team"? Favre looked miserable in the cold that day - he looked like an 80 year old man.

Yeah, do you know what the key phrase of your post was? It's "that day." Just because he played poorly "that day" and just because it happened to be cold "that day" doesn't mean he's suddenly incapable of winning in the cold.

The key phrase is that day, but if we put it into perspective. A Green Bay QB plays bad in the cold Farve was a Green Bay QB So Farve plays bad in the cold. And Farve did play bad in the cold. It all adds up.

It depends on how you define "cold." I was at the last game at Soldier...Favre's last year as a Packer...the year the Packers went to the playoffs and the Bears did not. It was VERY cold, the Bears were not a better team that year, and Favre looked like he wanted to cuddle in a blanket. Favre SUCKED that day, and the Packers lost.
Favre's overall record in the cold is irrelevant. He is older, and bitter cold definitely affects him now. A dome is where he belongs now. Nobody knows what the weather will be when the Vikings come here. But if it is bitter cold, Favre will suck. Book it.

BEARS 35, PACKERS 7; Favre endures deep freeze in Chicago

Chicago - The Green Bay Packers have lost twice in the last month and quarterback Brett Favre has played poorly in each of the defeats.
Once the grand master of hellish weather conditions, Favre was overcome by the fury of wind and cold just like a number of others players Sunday in a 35-7 loss to the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
"I didn't play as well as Kyle Orton or the Bears," Favre said. "I was prepared for this game as I was any other. I hope our team was."
Favre posted a career-low passer rating of 8.9 on Nov. 29 in Dallas, then 40.2 against the Bears

Check out the news clip from Wisconsin...funny stuff.

This video is long but pretty cool. Australian Packer fans in Chicago to watch the game...first few minutes is Bulls...arrive at Soldier about 4 minutes in. Ther seats are higher than the scoreboard, butthey admitted Soldier Field is nice...how often do Packer fans admit that? Frozen beer at 7:30 mark:

Like I said..no money. They are "much better," and Favre is 43-7 in your definition of cold weather games, so why no money? Why? Because you are not confident the Vikings Will sweep the Bears. If I were to offer you a bet today for $20 hat the Vikings will not win another game this year you would take it.
His record in 34 or colder is meaningless due to his age. Also, 34 is not cold. Where in the hell do you even get 34 from? Why not 32 or 20? 34 is completely random...probablysome number that best fits your argument.
I bet Fran Tarkenton has a good overall record in cold weather games...probably not so much if he were to play this December. At some point, age makes a difference. Favre can still get it done in the right circumstances, but he's at an age where he is not effective in artic temps, and where nearly an entire season will take its toll on his body.

What age? For Favre, whatever age he was when he played at Soldier Field in 2007. So when an NFL player reaches the age of 38, cold weather suddenly has an impact. But at age 37 and younger it doesn't. Thanks for clarifying that Dinky.
