hmmm i'm wonderin if you even watch football cause i'm thinkin you missed why the broncos lost, do you just look at records and playoffs and say oh well they suck they didn't make the playoffs cause it was broncos defense that lost them almost every game and last time i checked even the bears defense was better than most of the nfl the passed two seasons when they were losing including those worthless broncos now as for the pack they're done beating the bears no more favre to save their I luv my behind and he definatly aint helpin minnesota cutler aint our savior he's one of the keys to open the doorway he's a legit quarterback it doesn't matter what he talks he can complete all those long balls that orton couldn't  he wont over throw our receiver by 5 yards like orton did and don't forget the main stay matt forte he's goin to be the reason we got the division this year

Not so Rockdalian-Rodgers did indeed beat the Bears 37-3 last season.  Favre had nothing to do with that win.

and he LOST to the bears also...

True but that's not the point.  The poster claimed the "Packers were done beating the Bears" without Favre to "save their I luv my behind" but that wasn't so.   Rodgers beat the Bears soundly 37-3 last season which makes his point inaccurate.  Now had I said "Rodgers will never lose to the Bears" you would have a point.  However, I didn't.

Geno, please don't tell me that your hero has blinded your eyes too? Since Lovie Smith came to Chicago, Favre (that would be your hero) has been a non factor. end of story.

I am torn between wishing he was still in GB and the pure enjoyment I have had listening to him ramble about his hatred for TT and his total Benedict Arnold act towards everything GB. On second thought I can't wait to see him in a MINNESOTA VIKINGS jersey playing at Lameblow... oh what fun that will be.

    Cheers

"Common sense would tell me though that if at least five threads exist saying Bullocks sucks and questioning the move, there should be at least ONE thread saying how great it was!"

So now you're referring to the needle and not the haystack. Instead of the countless complaints about signing the guy, you would rather refer to the one or two praising him.

I used to think you had a good deal of sense and I thought you were a decent guy. This thread and your bass-ackwards logic proves otherwise.

Please. Stop breeding. There are enough people who think this poorly in the world already.

Not really, wisco. Favre has been a factor in those games. Look at his TD/INT ratio in those games and you'll see what I'm talkin' about.

Wisc-you're quote still makes no reference or inference to Lovie Smith-none.  Also, this whole "Favre hates everything GB" nonsense has been largely exaggerated.  Favre may have some bad feelings towards TT and that's understandable.  However, he does not hold those feelings towards the fans.  He retired and the Packers made a committment towards Rodgers.   End of story.  Favre is free to play wherever he wants and the Vikings give him the best chance to win right now.  In addition, he knows the system.  Some Bear fans despise Brett Favre and that's understandable.  He played for us and racked up many great wins against the Bears.  Of course, some will hate him and some will respect him for that  However, that is neither here or there.  He's gone now and I wish him the best of luck in Minnesota minus the games against the Packers.  And although he will be wearing a Vikings jersey and playing in Lambeau-he'll also be wearing that same jersey and playing in Chicago.  And I wouldn't stand by that old reasoning "but Lovie's record against Favre..."   It will be a brand new ball game and Favre will be giving the Packers as well as the Bears a hard fought game.  You'd better hope your team comes out on top as I am with my team.  Oh what fun that will be.

    Cheers and welcome back.

Geno, you need to read before you respond.
I wrote his Benedict Arnold act towards everything GB... not hatred.

If you think the only reason he is looking at Minnesota is because they give him the best chance to win now you are like a lost sheep. He wants to be there to stick it to TT. Sorry to break the news to you. If you cannot understand how that translates to the fans of GB then perhaps you should look up the word ego or better yet selfish.

Regardless, I am not worried one bit about the drama queen going to Minnesota. I can't wait for the late December game in Chicago if he is still around.

Cheers and thanks for the welcome back.

LOl exactly and like 2007,  expect 2009 for the "son" to feel the broom pushing him into his his 2nd stright losing seaosn.. : 0

lovie smith is 7-3 against the packers  and 4-1 in lameblow.. and would be higher if he didn't rest people in the last week... packers are lovie's female dog..lolol

DBears-I wouldn't count on Lovie's record to continue year after year.  Lovie's most recent game in Lambeau ended with a 37-3 blowout.  Streaks are always broken and next year is a brand new season.  Let the season dictate who the "female dog" is.

well as he FOLLOWED UP THAT LOSS,  WITH ANOTHER WIN AND SMACKDOWN OF PAKCERS a few weeks later.. i'd say it DOES seem the  trend has continued and *never* in his coaching hsitory has he had a losing record agaisn the packers in in any season, until the pakcers will actually DO sweep lovie he has bragging rights.. i mean you always seem to bring up favre 1990's record,, and ignore his last 4 years,,, right?

    Cheers!

True but that's not the point.  The poster claimed the "Packers were done beating the Bears" without Favre to "save their I luv my behind" but that wasn't so.   Rodgers beat the Bears soundly 37-3 last season which makes his point inaccurate.
Your heroes record vs Lovie Smith also makes his point inaccurate.

huh?  Where in his post did he even mention Lovie Smith?  Probably refering more to "my heroes" overall record vs the Bears which would indeed be impressive.
"now as for the pack they're done beating the bears no more favre to save their @@@" Geno, please don't tell me that your hero has blinded your eyes too? Since Lovie Smith came to Chicago, Favre (that would be your hero) has been a non factor. end of story. I am torn between wishing he was still in GB and the pure enjoyment I have had listening to him ramble about his hatred for TT and his total Benedict Arnold act towards everything GB. On second thought I can't wait to see him in a MINNESOTA VIKINGS jersey playing at Lameblow... oh what fun that will be. Cheers

That's your opinion Wisc.  I do believe he'd love to stick it to TT and beat the Packers but I don't believe it's his sole reason for coming back.  He wants to play and I'm sure he'd love to win another SB.  Favre will not be the only player who was released from his team and who wants to beat his former team.  Happens all the time.  He brought many wins and exciting games to the Packers and for that I'm grateful.  What he does for the Vikings is between him and Minnesota.  As I said, I wish him well minus the games against GB.  Perhaps you aren't worried a bit about him going to Minnesota and that's great.  However, I don't believe for a second all fans feel that way.  I'm sure many would have rather faced Sage Rosenfels or T-Jack.  IMO-Favre makes the Vikings better-not worse and the Vikings are the team to beat as they won the division last year.  Time will soon tell how Favre does with Minnesota and how the division ends up.  Let the games dictate that.   Cheers

Cheers

p.s.  A little side wager for Sept. 13th Wisc?
No problemo Geno. I agree Favre makes the Vikings better. The way I look at it is when the Vikings go into a season with high expectations they choke. I hate to say but kinda like the Cubs. Favre or no Favre, I am not worried. The only internet wagers I make are sig bets. PM me a bet and I will consider it. Cheers.

Good deal Wisc.  I also have a sig bet going with Dinky but we can do one as well.  I'm going out of town to the IOLA car show to hunt down parts for my '59 Impala (hence the '59 in my name) and I'll return on Monday.  I'll think of something and I'll run it by you then.  I'm sure we can agree on something.  I'll try not to come up with anything too obnoxious.
