To those of you who have gotten the Authentic ones, I assume they come with the hologram NFL tag and a $229.99 pricetag? 

My white jersey is all mess except for the middle section in & below the armpits and has the smaller stitched front numbers than back....seems legit authentic, but I got for $40 on ebay a few years ago....although it was a Berrian jersey in his last year when he wasn't likely to come back, and didn't, so I wonder if it was on clearance due to that. 

Real, or close-enough, it was a great purchase and I'm hoping to find something similar for a navy Forte.

EVEN THE JERSEYS THAT SAY 'AUTHENTIC' AND COST OVER TWO HUNDRED BUCKS ARENT EVEN THAT AUTHENTIC COMPARED TO WHAT THE TEAM ISSUES. THE GAME WORN JERSEYS (IN THE LATE 80'S-MID 90'S) CAN ONLY BE OBTAINED FROM THE PLAYER HIMSELF, THEIR FAMILY, EQUIPMENT MANGERS OR FROM SOMEONE ELSE IN THE ORGANIZATION. UNLESS PURCHASED FROM DEALER WHO GOT IT FROM THIS GUY WHO GOT IF FROM SOME OTHER GUY. YOU SHOULD NEVER PAY HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR A JERSEY THAT SAYS  ITS AUTHENTIC. MY DAD WOULD BRING ME HOME A FEW JERSEYS FROM EACH GAME THRU OUT HIS CAREER. REASON BEING IS THAT THE TEAM ORDERS SO MANY HOME AND AWAY JERSEYS FOR THE SEASON USUALLY ABOUT THREE OR FOUR FOR EACH GAME AND THE PLAYER WOULD DECIDED JUST THE WEEK OF HOW HE WANTS HIS JERSEY TAILORED. WHETER IT WAS TO MAKE IT SHORT OR TO HAVE THE TIGHT CUFFS AROUND THE ARMS TO THE TAILORING AROUND THE ARMPITS IN THE SHOULDER PADS. I WAS ALWAYS LUCKY THAT HE WOULD HAVE THE EQUIPMENT MANGER SAVE MOSTLY ALL THE ONES HE EITHER WORE OR NEVER HAD TAILORED, AND TO BE HONEST  I NEVER EVER HAVE SEEN A TEAM ORDERED JERSEY THAT I COLLECTED AS A KID SOLD IN A STORE. THO THE SO CALLED AUTH ENTIC ONES LOOK NEARLY IDENTICAL IN SOME CASES IN A PICTURE OR IN A CASE. I NEVER SAW ONE THAT WAS EVEN CLOSE AS FAR AS THE FELL OF THE FABRIC AND THE TEAM TAILORING TAGS ON THEM.

NUMBERS AND NAME WERE NOT STITCHED ON BEARS JERSEYS IN 92 UP FOR AUCTION SOON. Does it really matter fake or not as long as it is DA BEARS? Value is in the eyes of the beholder anyways.

Cna anybody out there confirm whether the sleeve stripes on one of the orange/alt authentics from a couple years ago had holes? I just picked up an awesome deal on a used Urlacher jersey I *swear* is an authentic. It has the pre-2008 NFL shield with more stars than the current one, the shield is sewn with clear nylon thread, the spandex sides are hellah thick, and the TV numbers use the correct font. The only bad tell I have is holes in the thick heatpressed stripes. I can post pics if needed. Can anyone speak to the authentics of a couple years back with expertise?

I've got Hester and Cutler replicas with the mesh numbers that I got for ten dollars a piece. I wear them more than I wear the real ones I have because I don't have to worry about getting nachos & mustard on them.

No, those are officially licensed, just very cheaply made jersey shirts as have been referenced in some of the other threads on this forum.  They are available at Wal-Mart, Target, etc. etc.
