Re: What kind of fan are you during Bears games?
DABEARZ*: DR.Metal:I drink During the games and I'll cuss a word or two when we do something dumb or get scored on and I'll holler a bit in delight when we score or make a big play. usually kinda calm during games and when the game is won I celebrate and my mood is heightened for a few days.
if we lose i could break a thing or two if someone says the wrong thing and I'll be in a bad mood thinking about where we lost the game for a few days. The good and bad moods usually just last 2-3 days and then I'm ready for the next game.
I also won't miss a game for any reason and i hate being bothered by stupid questions or by people stupid about football.
Nice sig. I usually blast Metallica's For whom the bell tolls, on gameday mornings on my Bose Ipod dock to get me pumped for the game, because they always play it just before kickoff at Soldier Field...and the guitar riffs from the beginning every time they score along with the siren. Reminds me of being at Soldier Field, I love it.
Thanks. I too always start the game by blasting for whom the bell tolls like they do in the stadium. If the announcers suck I mute the TV and just blast metal all game long as I slam beer after beer!!
DEATH TO ALL BUT METAL. ''I am rally drunk and other thing so of the unlawful things. I am breaking the law!!!!''- Me, really drunk. I'm Atheist,Pro Choice,Democrat, and a Drinker.

Re: What kind of fan are you during Bears games?
I was at this bar that plays every game, but mainly the Bears game. It was week 17 of last season. I was pissed because the Bears were about to lose to the Texans, ending any chance of them making the playoffs. Of course the bar was playing the Packers/Lions game too. The table next to us had two girls in packers jerseys, and two guys. One of the girls was cheering every single time the Bears made a blunder, or the Texans made a great play. I took it for about an hour, then she got on my nerves because of her nasty attitude about it. I started yelling at her throughout the game, even calling her the "c-word." I got her nice and mad, and shut her up. If I had to, I would have fought that whole table -- they were ruining the game for the vast majority of Bears fans at that bar. Though, I could tell the two guys with her wanted nothing to do with that girl. I really hate jerks who come into Chicago, watch their team at a Chicago bar, and heckle Chicago's football team as if their team owns this city. I'd throw down anytime.
"We need to find a way to make 1 + 1 = 3." --Lions head coach Jim Schwartz.

xerohour: parieken:At home, I'm throwing couch pillows when something goes wrong...my wife takes the kids and goes to another room. I just say..."hey they're called 'throw pillows' right?!"
I don't enjoy watching the Bears at a bar or with a large group as much...I'm afraid I might miss something! I like to be focused on the action....no outside distractions for Bears games.
LOL. I practically spit out what I was drinking when I read the pillows bit. But yea I am the guy who went nuts when Hester ran it back in the super bowl and practically cried in the falcons loss with practically no time on the board. I get very emotional and also hate it when people say its just a game. A loss doesn't hurt me as much anymore since we lost the super bowl and that was the ultimate one. Kinda took the edge off any future losses. As for it haunting me I can definitely say the day of the loss I will be feeling like crap. After that its likely optimism for the next game.
I've found that going outside and doing some hardcore yard work really helps after a loss. No joke.... Burn some leaves, prune the trees....lot more constructive than sitting around the house wanting to smash stuff. I put on the radio headset and listen to postgame shows too....listening to others vent helps too! Btw, welcome to the cbmb..

Screamer; drunken screamer. I scream when we win or lose. Getting pumped up is a big part of football games to me. I won't be the guy wearing no shirt with a Bears face painted on it,but I will be the guy hugging and hive-fiving that guy when we score

Re: What kind of fan are you during Bears games?
I'm pretty animated during games and will talk a lot regardless if anyone is watching with me or not. A lot of fist pumping and,"Yeah... yeah... YEAH!!!", on good plays. And a lot of,"What the.....", on the bad. I'll usually jot down notes and play by play observations during a game. And will review the plays after the game.

You fools that take this GAME and team way too seriously need to get your priorities in life straightened out.
What I can't figure out is why people like you care so much about a team/organization that doesn't know you and couldn't care less about you?
People like you need calmer hobbies. Relax and don't take it so seriously. You'll live longer, be healthier, and be happier.

Re: What kind of fan are you during Bears games?
#1 Fan attitude, Pressured, Nervous, Intense, Emotional, Raged, and very hopeful, i believe in miracles (not really, but at least I ain't a CUBS fan Boo-ya!), glad i didn't changed the channel that night vs. the Cardinals , i never turn the game off till the clock shows 0's, I usually scream out at the coaches, refs, cheaters, and our own players like the effin hear me (like calling them real bad names as such). i yell out plays to play at the moment, i'm always pointing out possible attacks as if our Bears can hear me , i don't want them to just win i want them to murk teams. don't talk smack bout my Bears during or after the game on game day and you'll be fine or go home w/ a fat lip. I take an easy on the alcohol during the game to pay good attention, and i smoke cigerettes like crazy, and most of all i have a BLAST during Bears games. i think ya'll would be able to watch Bears games w/ me and my guys and girlfriends.

Re: What kind of fan are you during Bears games?
I'm surprised how many of you watch the games alone at your house. Meeting other Bears fans and talking a little trash with opposing fans at the bar is part of the fun of game day. There's nothing like singing Bear Down in a bar 1400 miles away from Chicago with a bunch of strangers.

I'm calm and quiet util the gaon and i turn into a monster.I can take the talk during the game but if we lose you should stop or you might end up in a bar brawl at a strip club.I usuall bet at least a hundred on the game.
"Here's a check for $10,000, Nagurski," G.A. Richards, owner of the Detroit Lions, once said. "Not for playing the Lions, because you belong to the Bears, but just to quit the game and get the hell out of the league. You are ruining my team."

I never said anything about fighting wars. Not sure how that was brought into the conversation. Was that supposed to be a slam?
Your ridiculous behavior and attitude is having a spine and cojones? That's funny. I'm passionate about plenty. I have my priorities in line unlike yourself.
It's pathetic, ridiculous, and sad that your (not just you, but all who post) wives and girlfriends and your friends/other family have to wait and see how you are going to behave and interact with them based on the outcome of a meaningless game. It's quite ridiculous that your mood is effected for a few days afterwards.
You fools have your priorities way out of whack. When you are dead and gone, the wins and losses of the Bears won't matter. They won't know or care that you are dead. Life will go on.

I hate when you do this...This is 2nd thread I've seen you ripping people for their passion over this football team. Why does it really matter to you how into the games we get? I dont think anybody throughout this thread wants to be lectured on how to act during a Bears game we'd prefer not to sit on our hands and golf clap after a score. This is becoming an annoyance...

Sorry SD.
The only SD i know worth calling it SD is San Diego. It was wrong for me to assume you were from there. South Dakota is way cooler. I am not a fool. My family gets a kick out of my behavior. My wife married me for me. The whole war thing is probably true though. That was me assuming you were a tree hugging hippe who wouldnt dare hurt a fly. I still stand by that comment until you show some passion. Question for you San Diego. You obviously like the Bears enough to come on this board. I'll bet your'e the biggest lunatic out of all of us. Truthfully, I don't care what the Eff you personally do after a game. I care about why the Eff you think it is time well spent calling 99% of this thread fools for being amped about the Bears. Eff you man. Not that you care, but I don't like dude. If I am ever in San Diego......... hhahahahhhahhahahaha

if we lose i could break a thing or two if someone says the wrong thing and I'll be in a bad mood thinking about where we lost the game for a few days.
You are so right when they get the stupid annoucers diising the bears untill we start to when and then riding are jocks!!!!! I usually jam the tunes and mute the game. Me and my wife look forward to game day, saterday is the day to get the food and call freinds to see who is coming. Can not wait for preseason, I can only watch so many Americas game on nfl network

Re: What kind of fan are you during Bears games?
peanut33tillman:What type of fan are you when gameday rolls around and our Bears are playing? Are you the guy that's relaxed and doesnt show much emotion who can get over a loss and feels "eh it's only a game." Or are you the guy thats cussing up a storm during the game and boy if we lose it really effects you throughout the week. Do you guys throw things during the game when something bad happens? Maybe you get into the games the wife doesnt want to be in the same house as you when we lose....Let's hear what kind of a Bears fan you're come game time.
well i assume you want to ask the LADIES as well how they react on game day! ;)
i'm super passionate about da bears! i won't talk to anyone during the plays, and will scream and yell at refs, bad calls, players who don't give 110%, people at my house who like to tease :P it gets pretty crazy! and yes, i hate when they lose, and it sits with me for most of the week - at least until i start getting excited about the next game! we tailgate EVERY football sunday on our driveway - i make all kinds of tailgating food - we toss the pigskin, and then we watch football from 1pm EST until the last game is over at night.
my first ever dog (r.i.p) was named Staley, after the mascot, and when she died on xmas, i ordered a custom orange jersey with her name on it and the 00 that the mascot wears! i have a signed payton jersey, a signed fridge helmet and a big giant urlacher fathead in my basement!
i sing the fight song at least 3 times before the game even starts, and have it as my hubby's ringtone on my phone. i wont answer right away when he calls just so i can hear the fight song a little longer ;)
a little bit obsessed about da bears? i'll let you make the call!
football season...are you HERE yet?

Re: What kind of fan are you during Bears games?
SD Bears Fan: MarylandBear111: SD Bears Fan:
Connors33:I'm pretty loud during the games especially if I'm out at a restaurant or something like that. If we win I'm happy for the next couple days and wear a bears jersey (on Mondays or whatever the day after the game is). If we lose/losing I cuss up a storm and don't want to talk to any one the rest of the day because they always tell me "it's only a game", and that just makes it worse lol.
It IS only a game.
People like you who live in California and surf and wish we werent fighting wars overseas are fools. You need more of a spine and cojones to be passionate about something. Don't knock our lifestyle and we wont knock yours
I don't live in Cali Einstein. I live in South Dakota.
Life will go on.
man, life can be VERY boring if you're not passionate about things. i know the bears don't care about me, i know that they won't recognize me when i'm dead and gone - but they provide entertainment to countless fans, and to tell those fans that being passionate to the point of ridiculousness is a waste of time tells me that you probably don't get excited about anything at all. life goes on for everyone, but do you even HAVE a life?
*shakes head*
no need to criticize others for what they do or dont do during a game. if you just watch, then turn off the tv and clean your toenails, that's your business - sad as it may be. leave the passionate bears fans alone.
