  But it's not my work   ....  I did look for one similar to that  in a cubs, to no avail   ....I guess that artist hasn't been born yet    so for  a graphic like that   most will have to wait a lifetime as well

I'll answer it Dave.  Cuter uniform?  Only Sox fans would think about "cute" uniforms.

And as far as venues are concerned- it has NOTHING to do with it.  If it did, then why do the Cubs have a huge following in EVERY ballpark they visit?  Cubs fans drowned out Padres fans a few weeks ago in San Diego.  That's pretty far away from Wrigley Field. 

I believe that the Chicago are population is greater on the northside, northern and northwest suburban areas, than in other areas.  These areas all have strong ties to the Cubs.  And a lot of the Cubs popularity is due to broadcasting all their games on WGN TV and radio for years (I'm still mad that they're not all on WGN TV anymore), and in marketing the team.  EVERYONE across the country remembers Harry Caray as the Cubs broadcaster, but few know about his Cardinals and especially not his White Sox broadcasting.  Why? WGN.  The White Sox did stupid things, like Sportsvision and other pay TV.  They just weren't fan friendly for many years and had poor marketing.  Too late now.

As diehard of a a Cubs fan I am, I really used to like the Sox too, when they were owned by Bill Veeck.

  In regards to the national level, . . no doubt about it, . .  I can't argue with you on that .  . cable broadcasting has paved the way for the  Cubs. They have been broadcast on cable,  I'd say since it has been around , . . . . .I remember when I was a kid   (we're talking  7, 8, 9  years old)  and we would  go to visit family in Peoria, . . they could get the Cubs games on cable, . . . . thats well over 30 years of  limelight for them 

 as for the Sox and Sportsvision, . . . . it was the worse move they ever made

Actually thats a lie! Cubs fans are more true fans, they put up with the worst luck in professional sports and still pay (and fill their ballpark) to see their team play, bad or good it does'nt matter which translates to a more loyal fan, this even goes with Bears games. WhiteSox fans seem a little like fair weather fans to me.

That's pointless, here is the thing:

SOX fans are obsessed with CUBS fans, they hate us.
They constantly talk about us and they do everything they can to try to rattle us.

CUBS fans don't care about SOX fans, really.
We don't pay attention to your team, we rarely go south of Cermak, and you only bother us when we've just paid you for the pizza, but you have not left the porch yet.

That's part of the Cubs fans odd elitist mentality - because what they have to feel superior about, I'll never know.

When the Cubs were in the playoffs a few years back, all I heard from White Sox fans was, "All right Cubbies, GO!"  We had honest fraternal good wishes for our North Side brethern to do well, to go all the way.  But when the Sox went on their World Series run a bit later, I couldn't believe the venom and ill-will coming from up North - right up to the Cubs manager.  It was very sad to hear...

This is a Cubs fan that pulled for the Chi-Sox when they won the World Series. Like someone said earlier, a Chicago championship is a Chicago championship. I offered congrats to the Sox fans as well.

I think it's the other way around, when we were 5 outs away from the world series back in 03 you ALL were hoping the Cubs would flounder and all took great delight when we did.

This may have been more common before the sox won the world series, but since then, many sox fans view the cubs with a collective "meh"

Actually, even with your world series, it's still like that for Cubs fans, we don't care about the Sox and never will. Even with the trophy, you're still the red headed stepchild team. Chicago is CUBTOWN. Period.

Cubs all the way for me. 

Half my family are from the South Side, half from the North side.  Makes it difficult, but I'm a Cubs Fan.

 

I can handle the Sox fans in my family easier than I can handle the Cardinals fans.
