How many times are we going to try the backdoor play on the PP? It's obvious it's not working and when it's all you try to do it's easy to stop.

Lost 3-1. So long home ice for the Hawks.

    Goal by Campbell

    Vancouver leads the series 2-1.

As obvious as this is, we need to win that game, or we're going down.

I blame Quennville....he changed the game plan ....the Hawks were playing like they were waiting for a break ...it is not their strength to play that way ....attack, attack, attack!! Out score the opponent!!

Quennville sucks!! You guys can all tell me I`m full of crap but I don`t care ....I`ve been watching the Hawks for going on five decades ....Quennville sucks!!

Sorry...I disagree...the Canucks crowded the center and the Hawks tried to be too fancy instead of using their strength.....speed. I  didn't like the Savard firing but ya know...I don't think they'd be any where close to where they are now if he was still the coach and I love Savy.

You cannot let the Canucks score first because they will fall into the trap and choke off the middle like you said. Then you have to dump and chase if you want to beat it. However as we all saw the Hawks kept trying to homerun pass it through the middle which will hardly ever work.

Also, if they're in the trap and you get a PP, you better score. If not they will not abandon the trap and you will be in big trouble as we saw tonight.

Yep and if they don't take it to them next game...series over and Hawks go home.

This is the youngest team but if they don't re-sign Khabby or get a good young Goalie, they will be in limbo because Huet freaking BLOWS!!   They'll waste at least 2 years if they put their eggs in Huets basket.

Right now...Anaheim is a team who "get's it" 2-0 on their home ice. Hawks were too full of themselves.

one more thing ....the trap only works if you dont spread it out....but Quennville doesn`t have a clue how to adjust to that!

Re: Round 2:Chicago Blackhawks vs Vancouver Canucks

So Luongo is talking trash in the media. Saying the Hawks were lucky in game 1 and 2. Also, as we have all seen he and Buff have been talking trash all series long. However after last nights game he said "After the game I was going to go congratulate him but he just skated away with his head down. I'm sure we'll talk next game"

What a freaking tool! You mean like the way you skated away with your head down after you imploded in game 2? He has no room to talk about anything when he flops like a fish, and constantly gets away with the illegal slashing of Buffs legs and punches he throws with his glove.

He's their "captain" but after Game 2 he said(paraphrasing) "It's a team effort in the loss. I'm not going to take responsibility for the loss"

Yes he's a good goalie, but he is mighty full of himself.

Re: Round 2:Chicago Blackhawks vs Vancouver Canucks

Hawks haven't lost consecutive home games in nearly 2 months. First time they've been held to less than 3 goals in the playoffs if I recall correctly...maybe 2nd time. Hawks need to get the lead early and make their D men chase and fight for the puck deep. Shoot more, especially on the PP...stay out of the box!!!!

I don't know if they'll re-sign Khabby but I sure don't want to pin my hopes on Huet the next couple years, he let's in too many soft goals. Hawks need a good young goalie, a good centerman and a big D man who can score for next year.

Unless Khabby signs short term and for a "home town discount" he's not coming back as we can't afford to pay him a lot with what huet is making and the young kids all coming up for new contracts in the next 2 years.

We may already have the good young goalie in Crawford, however he's a RFA after this season and the Hawks need to decide between him and Niemi.

I don't like Niemi...I like Crawford but they don't give him a chance. If Huet is the main goalie the next 2 years, this team will not grow, it will regress.

What I'd like them to do is sign Crawford, sign Habby, and move Huet if possible(though I don't think anyone will want his contract).

Then use the goalie rotation again so Crawford gets real experience and we can get a true gauge if he's NHL ready.

I'd also look into moving Campbell as well, but I doubt they'd try this early into his contract.

Agreed...some of the teams in the playoffs found young goalies some where...I think Caps and Pitt, not sure. Has to be a sharp young goalie in the minors or overseas Hawks can bring in.
