44 years and counting for me....on days like this it feels alot longer !!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a Bears fan since I was 5...old enough to watch and follow football.  The best thing  was the Bears winning the Super Bowl on my birthday January 26, 1986.  I was 11....wow I'm getting old.

Heh.  I was 10, (about 2 weeks shy of 11) but yeah, what jmaddy said.

Loved watching Payton run the ball.  Loved watching the D dominate.  Loved the simpleness of the game the way the Bears played it.  Run the ball, strong defense that will pop you in the mouth.

I grew up in Tx and NM.  It was either the Cowgirls or the Broncos for most around me.  I can't stand either team...and of course my two older brothers wouldn't let me root for the same team they did, so I chose the Bears.  Been a fan now for....28 years.

Since the late 70s when I was a little kid,Doug Plank was my first favorite Bear on defense and of course Sweetness on O...as a former Chicagoan now living in California,I've been blessed to have lived to see the Bears win a Superbowl,the Bulls dominate the 90s with the great MJ and Pip and last but not least,I saw Ozzie lead my beloved White Sox to a World Series championship...imagine how many people from other cities haven t had the chance to see their sports teams win championships and I m lucky enough to see all my favorite teams win it all!

28 + years for me , played 4 years high school ball followed them ever since!

Only 10 years but they have been the best 10 years of my life!

me 2  although i officially became a fan in '72.  I will tell you that even though they sounded a little funny to me down in new orleans what a relief to get away from the brutal winter we were having that year.

ive been a bears fan for nearly 25 years, but ive bled orange and navy since i was 10 and sat on the tunnel in the old soldiers field on a very cold january in 1988, for walters last game.  Its amazing because i don't understand fans born in the mid to late 80s-- why are they fans? the 90s and lately there hasn't been that much to cheer about-- i was 7 when they won the superbowl, i remember the Black and Blues brothers, and the Fridge, Mongo, the Coronel, and Hamp-- These guys today will never be as special as the old guard.  Can someone exlpain this to me? If your born after 1985... why do you love the beloved?

 

 

My younger brother has been a fan of the patriots since about 88.  If you think our wanny years were bad looking at that franchise back then you would have another thing coming.  I don't know it's whatever that indivual  takes from the team that will make him a fan.  My son became a bears fan in the 90's all on his own so it really what what that person may take from what they see on sunday.  ( leave it to my wife it's whatever colors she may seem to fancy)
