It shows.

geno59:If winning the Super Bowl every year would be the only measuring stick of success-than some bear fans must be awfully depressed. Even great teams with great QB's don't win the Super Bowl every year. The Packers had a fabulous season last year despite what a handful of bear fans might say. Not many teams make it as far as the NFC Championship games. Only the best of teams get that far. I would still be happier making it to that game, win or lose, than end up at the bottom of the division the year after a Super Bowl appearance. Lots of people seem to forget which team was predicted to be at that game before the season statrted. The Bears were the ones who went from the Super Bowl to the cellar. I think that's more disappointing than losing an NFC Championship game no one thought the Packers would get to in the first place. It's not the Packer fans drinking the Kool-Aid. We don't need it.
Geno, why do you always say the Bears were predicted to go to the SB in 07? What planet do you live on? There may have been a few of the so-called experts who picked the Bears to be there, but not many. In fact, N.O was the supposed team to go to the SB last year by many of the experts. Why don't you go to their board and give them davenport? You always miss the point of this argument. The PACKERS WERE FAVORED TO WIN THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP AND THEY CHOKED. This can be proven- Go look back at the line for the Giants game. To compare that to a few "experts", and I doubt there were many, who were picking the Bears to be in last years SB is ludicrous and makes you look as bright as your fellow Packer poster Rainman. I will admit that you are progressing very well in the IHTB school of nonsense, congrats on that one.

Especially coming off a Super Bowl appearance whereas the Packers finished 4-12 just two years prior. My point is and always has been that Green Bay had a fabulous season last year despite the loss to the Giants. Would I have liked to win that game or the Super Bowl for that matter? Of course but it ain't going to happen every year. Super Bowls are very difficult to achieve so I don't hang my head and consider every season a bust just because we didn't get there and win it. I enjoy every win on any given Sunday and Favre has given us plenty of those. The Bears had a horrible season last year and really only had two good seasons in the last 20 years. IMO-I'd be more disappointed in that and on finishing in the cellar than losing an NFC Championship game.

First off, I don’t know what you consider a good season, but by my count we have had more than two of them in the last 20 years, so I suggest you do a little research before running off at the mouth. Second, you sound like Wardi when you make a ridiculous statement saying you would be much more disappointed in finishing last than losing an NFC Championship. I can tell you that losing the Super Bowl two years ago is much more disappointing than going 7-9 last year and finishing in last place. And if we come out and have another bad year this season that sentiment won’t change because as you stated, it is extremely hard to obtain that goal. So when you see it slip between your fingers like the Bears, who blew their chance to be SB Champions as did the Packers, who blew their chance to be NFC and possibly SB Champions, I would hope that would be a lot more disappointing than a last place finish in the NFC North Division. If it is not then you are one weird fan.
Geno, two good season in the last 20! Where do you get these whoppers, does IHTB or Rainman IM these comments to you or do you come up with them all by yourself? I will say the same thing that has been said to your buddy IHTB.. words mean something. You lose credability in the real world when you say something and when proven wrong backtrack and try and cover it up by saying what you supposedly meant.
You did not claim the Bears were predicted to have a much better season than GB, you claimed they were picked to be in the NFC Championship. In fact you have written that quite a bit and it is false.
"Lots of people seem to forget which team was predicted to be at that game before the season statrted. "
BTW Geno, the last time the Bears went to the SB, I assume it is one of the two good seasons of the last 20 (LMAO sarcastic) below are what the "experts" were saying before the season.... note, NOBODY PICKED THEM TO BE IN THE SB AND THEY WERE. I guess old "wrecks" (as you call him) got it done and your hero did not last year in that "fabulous" season that ended in the fold in the cold II.

So there you have it folks. Geno claims "LOTS OF PEOPLE" WERE PICKING THE BEARS TO BE IN THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME LAST YEAR. Yep ok, Geno.

Oh, so NOW you admit that Favre sucked before his fluke season? My point is and always has been that Green Bay had a fabulous season last year despite the loss to the Giants. A loss made possible by a stupid pick in OT by whom? Would I have liked to win that game or the Super Bowl for that matter? Of course but it ain't going to happen every year. Super Bowls are very difficult to achieve so I don't hang my head and consider every season a bust just because we didn't get there and win it. But you consider the Bears 06 season a bust. Interesting. I enjoy every win on any given Sunday and Favre has given us plenty of those. The Bears had a horrible season last year and really only had two good seasons in the last 20 years. Last season was mainly due to injuries, as you refuse to accept, and there have been mnore than "two" good years. At least three. IMO-I'd be more disappointed in that and on finishing in the cellar than losing an NFC Championship game. Well, get used to the "cellar" because I don't think GB has much to look forward to for a while. At least they are TRYING to rebuild though, that's a start.

Oh my bad, I forgot, no one ever changes topics on these threads. You really are a Packer Homer.
Oh and kudos to you on your magical Packer season, I tend to look at how the football season ends instead of what transpires part way through.
So on that note:
