pdxbears: Ramirez looks over-matched a lot, but since he needs to play every day then I say keep in there. Kenny obviously would have sent him down to the minors if he thought he couldn't do the job right now. He really did look good in spring training. The one move I wouldn't mind seeing is is moving Swisher at first, his natural position, and BA in center. PK and Thome would DH depending if we need a lefty or righty in there. Go Sox!!!!!

Al Michaels:As for The Quentin, wow, man's on fire. But I might hold on to D-Lee. We all know he's been productive on a consistant basis (same can't be said about Los). D-Lee's a good numbers guy so I might think twice about getting rid of him. If you're gonna replace someone, I'd say maybe Crawford. Although still producing solid numbers, it looks like he's having a bit of a "down" year.
No matter what I do I'll have all 3 of those guys next year, but what I do at the end of this year will determine which 2 of those 3 I can keep beyond next year. Lee's getting older, Quentin's only looked very good for a quarter of a season thus far. If I had to make the decision right now I'd keep it the way it is, but if Quentin is still near the top of the AL in hitting at the end of the season is when I'll have to make a tough decision.
As far as who was availabe at 2nd base, I have Brian Roberts on my roster but I have to give him up at the end of the season unless I franchise him (which I don't plan on doing) so I don't mind taking a flyer on a rookie like Ramirez in hopes that he'll be a pretty good hitter beyond this season.

Oh geez, I wasn't even thinking about the upcoming years. In that case, keep Crawford. And if Quentin continues his offensive prowess by year's end, I'd go with him over Lee. I know it would've only been one year, but like you've said, D-Lee's age is climbing—you might as well go with the youngster. You'd just have to hope it wasn't a fluke year (hopefully it won't be because Los was always one of those "huge potential" guys who was held back by injuries).
Letting Roberts go...oh, that'd be a sad site, but you gotta pave way for possible future talent, and Ramirez is supposed to be one of those boom or bust guys, I guess.
Al Michaels:Buehrle...

Only Dwight could lighten up the mood.
But, we come back today 6-5. Sox Win, Sox Win, Sox Win.....
Okay, first off, I don't know what that green thing is, but Al wants one.
Secondly, yeah, The Q came through again with another huge knock.
Third, how bout that Danks against them surprising Rays? His ERA still under 3 -- mercy.
Fourth, bullpen...can we say HUGE improvement from last year? I found these numbers while surfing the Sox MB (it's just a little dated, though):
-Logan 7.2 IP, 0.00 ERA,
-Linebrink 14.1 IP, 0.63 ERA,
-Dotel 13 IP, 0.69 ERA,
-Jenks 10.2 IP, 1.69 ERA,
-Thornton 7.2 IP, 2.35 ERA,
-Masset (stats include one start) 12 IP, 3.00 ERA,
-Other (you know who you are) 6.2 IP, 12.15 ERA, 2.25 WHIP, 1.67 K/BB
***Other refers to games in which the bullpen was pitching in a blowout.
Keep it up gentlemen.
I think we need to keep this kid Ramirez, Uribe sucks at the plate and his d is ok but not that great..Ramirez made some great plays out there today
Shut out again.

You can add the Ozzie vs. Kenny Williams smackdown now. People are clamoring to fire Walker it just might be Ozzie who is the first to go.
