As we know TRUE bear fans are White Sox fans.  That has been proven.  I looked.

Actually, real Bears fans are fans of the Baseball team that they derived thier name from.

Before they derived thier name from the lovable losers, they were the Chicago Staleys and the only reason they changed thier name to the Bears is because they shared the same stadium, at the time called Cubs field.  I'm a real bear fan but that doens't mean that I have to be a Cubs fan.  I do not like the cubs, never have and never will.  As far as the Cubs outdrawing the White Sox, its because of Wrigley Field, the friendly confines, not because of the product on the field.  Although, I will admit that this year's cubs are playing pretty good ball, but they will fade, they always do.  Only the Cubs find ways to lose.

    Bill Swerski Super Fan:

My parents were married when I was born. I'm a Cubs fan.

If you're a Sox fan and a big Cubs hater, you should also hate the Bears.  The Bears and Cubs were tied together through 1970 as were the Sox and the Chicago Cardinals through the late '50s.  The Northside team was the Bears for football.

Your logic is $tupid, I don't understand that one.  I don't have to LOVE THE CUBS to be a Bears fan.  And as far as those ties you bring up, what ties?  Sure the Cards played at Commisky park, but thats it.  White Sox didn't own them.

Also, what do you mean by your parents were married when you were born so hence you're a cub fan?  Are you insinuating that White Sox fans come from broken familes?   Get a life Bill.

    OK

    2005 World Champs

2006 didn't even make the playoffs, kind of makes that title seem like a fluke.

Not all Cubs fans think that Sox fans are poor and trashy, but something that always comes to mind is the father/son duo that attacked the opposing 1st base coach a few years back.  That was pretty poor and trashy, I do know the majority of Sox fans are not like that.

    GO CUBS

Yeah, they didn't make the playoffs in '06, but that helps when you were playing in the best division in baseball:

AL Central W L GB Pct.
    Minnesota Twins 96 66 .593
    Detroit Tigers 95 67 1 .586
    Chicago White Sox 90 72 6 .556
    Cleveland Indians 78 84 18 .481
    Kansas City Royals 62 100 34 .383

90 wins and no playoff appearance? Ridiculous.

If that's what comes to mind for Sox fans (I don't speak for all my brethren, but yes, I am trashy and poor so I don't take offense), what should people think when they think about Cubdom? Of course this shoulnd't reflect an entire fan base, but it is what it is. Off the top of my head and from my experiences:

    -Dodgers fight at Giggly Field

-Fan charging Howry at Giggly Field

-Repeated incidents of throwing trash on the field (it's your own friggin' ballpark, why trash it?)

    -the out-of-line scapegoating of Bartman

-throwing opposing HRs back (not all that bad, I just think it's stupid)

-a lot booing (again, more of a personal opinion, I just don't see the point in it)

-routine drunkeness (it's like a sizeable portion values the booze more than the game...which is dumb cause drinks at the game are too expensive)

and how many wins did the Cubs have all last season  as they stumbled into the playoffs ???

Oh yeah and got swept by the D backs in the playoffs

Pretty convenient for the Sox that the Cubs best two players are injured ....oh well ...Good luck to both teams. Something tells me sweet Lou may get a little sour if this keeps up. Time for a tirade or two Lou ....Ozzie style .....hahaha

Excuse me but if you knew your Bears history like you make yourself out to do, they were known as the Chicago Staleys for the first year, that was the agreement that Halas made with Mr. Staley for moving the team to Chicago.  After thier initial year in Chicago Halas changed the name as the Chicago Bears.  Thanks though for trying to correct me, appreciate it.

    GO GO SOX!!

Thankfully I was camping all weekend and I didn't see a single game.  Can't ignore the results though.  Nice job by the Sox.  They are a tough ballclub, especially at home.  If a Red Line World Series were to happen this year the winner might already be decided at the All-Star game.

I will admit the Sox played a good series and the Cubbies definitely did not.

This was pretty cool though, notice the Cub fan fighting WITH the Sox's fans...

From what I saw the guy wearing the Ramirez jersey and the guy wearing the thome jersey were beating on the same person. It looked like something personal was said and a fight broke out.
