really? being in first place from the first game of the season to the last game of the season is a fluke? 2 sweeps in the post season and 11-1 overall postseason record of the best teams in baseball is a fluke?

anyone who brings up us not making the playoffs in 06 is a moron. we one over 90 games, had a great team and season, and there was nothing we could do with detroit being an amazing team that year. everyone picked them to win the series until they were upset by the cardinals. i HATE it when cub fans bring this (CBMB Modbot edit) up. you have NO ROOM TO TALK.

Something about those 3 on 1 fights that makes these Cubs fans act tough. I wonder if they'd have enough "balls" to do something like this against a Philly fan.

OK dude, please note the words in red.  If the Sox were in 1st place at the last game of the season they would have made the playoffs as they would have won their division.  Now who's the moron?

On a side note note I heard that the Blackhawks were playing a game at Wrigley this year vs. Detroit...
that should be pretty cool an outdoor hockey game in the middle of January.  Make sure you were your mittens.

Wow, I wonder what the justification was behind the 3 on 1 beating of that Sox fan. I bet it was because he was celebrating his niece's birthday--we all know how disrespectful that is.

Back to the Brewers case, I didn't read anything about it being a full can--and that's a huge detail. I figure it's either a bag of trash, or an empty can of Red Bull (who the hell walks around with a full can of something?).

But, let's review, rival fan throws something at Cubs' bus. 3--count 'em, 3--fans coming rushing out and start wailing on him? Hell, start reading other reports, it turns out they have a tape of one of them using a weapon--that's a helluva criminal charge now. 3 on 1 and you STILL need a weapon--that's cowardly.

What's even funnier? One of them is being charged with accidently clocking his own sister who was trying to intervene. Truthfully, I think the reason they rushed him was cause the guy looks like a bit of a nancy. Easy pickings.

There's upholding rivalries, then then there's just being d*cks. And these fellows can be filed under the second category.

Cubs fans berate that whole Ligue situation to the point of redundancy, yet they act like they're the most innocent. In fact, in another thread, I've made that argument. Cubs fans are involved in far more incidents, but they like to turn a blind eye to that.

As for me, personally, I don't care what people think of me being a Sox fan. You wanna call me some crazy drunkard who gets into fist-fights, knock yourself out. While I get into fights, I never drink, but what can you do, right? That's half the stereotype at least.
