Every week, you pick the winners of the upcoming week's games. After the games are played, everyone gets a score for the week and a cumulative score for the whole season (I will try my best to keep these "scores" live in the spreadsheet above so everyone can see, and I'll also put the leaders down in this post as the season wears on... then we will pick the next week's games).

Each game you get right gets you 1 point. As you can see in the spreadsheet above, I give you a point for your picks and then do a sum at the bottom. Everyone starts each week with 16 points, and then I go through and erase the rows that contain the "losers" of the week, automatically deducting from the 16 points with however many you guessed wrong. It's not the prettiest spreadsheet but it makes my life easier.

Once you play one week, you're in all the way (as in, for the entire season). If you forget to pick the games a certain week, your picks will be the home team for every game. If you want to play after the season has started, you'll get the home teams for all previous games played, and a scored based on that.

In the event of a tie, everyone will get a point for that game. You can change your picks for any game until kickoff for that game. Doesn't matter if a team wins by 1 point or by 40 points, in regulation or in overtime, fluky bizzare win or a complete mauling of a win. Only thing that matters is who gets the W.

What is your view on Porn?

So I just watched this documentary on some of the current trends in porn and it was pretty disturbing chit. Fundamentally speaking I think porn objectifies women and therefore contributes to forming impersonal behavior towards them by men, so to me it doesn't seem healthy.

I'm curious what others views are though and why?

Wolfe to IR; Bell up from Practice Squad

Per our boy Larry on Twitter: "LM: Bears have

Noticed the art behind him and it is a drawing of he and Cutler together. Makes me think, this guy still misses his QB and the fact that he chose this spot to be interviewed at he clearly wanted the world to see that picture behind him. HE HAS STILL TO SIGN AN EXTENTION!! wee need a new cba agreement so that this guy becomes a FA and we can snatch him up and reunite him w/his QB, that would be a good ending to a superbowl story

What changes would posters like to see in the CBA to HELP THE GAME, and right some of the obvious problems we have now.. Just curious what are posters "hot button" topics and what changes should be made? Can be a good topic for alot of debate and discussion.

my thoughts:

1. Rookie salary cap- A MUST..do like the NBA, where the rookies get a nice few million SB, and free agency in 3 years, this way teams if a player is bust, don't have the Huge liability to start, and teamates don't have the resentment that seems to happen and most important -no more holdouts!, as you know the salary scale coming in.. with all the $$$ saved esp at top, you can redeistrubute this money to vet's that have provn themselves, makes alot more sense

2. Mandatory drug testing- AND YOU CAN"T APPEAL outside of football, set up an independant panel to hear cases, but all players agree the cba is binding and will not pull a "willams"..

3. revenue Sharing- once again like the 2006 CBA- have the players and owners set a sliding scale on revenue( 51%-53%?) that rewards the players that grow the sport, but doesn't penalize owners if the sport reveue go flat

1% rule- BOTH the players agree to take 1% of all players salary AND the owners agree to same 2% rle on gross revenue, to be donated to a fund for retired players and injured players

By doing this will fully fund a retirement for all NFL players and for the older players allow them to get a real pension they can live on, and allow them to get the medical help many are not getting now. the owners and players today, should be disgraced at the blood, sweat and injuries the league has been built on.. time FOR ONCE AND ALL TO FIX IT COMPLETELY! and never speak about a NFL player that is having trouble with paying for his medical 10 years after retires.

4. extend season to 18 games, and only 2 preseaon games i'm sick of paying full price for a bad meaningless product, if teams want to add a full scrimmage like used to do with other teams during camp, PERFECT!, but stop the insanity of full price for 1/5 talent out there.

5. Make ref's FULL TIME EMPLOYEES- and all ref crews get year round education and seminars to hone skills and make them alot better than we see now

what are other posters thoughts and what you would like to see? thanks

Adrian Peterson or Chris Johnson?

Seeing alot of this going around... Electric engines have many benefits over combustion engines. They can run at max torque at all times, have fewer moving parts, require less maintenance and are more efficient. However, is this Green movement getting ahead of itself? It's VERY inefficient converting fossil fuels to electric, and currently that is the primary means of power from our infrstructure. 124B is a LOT of money. IMO, we should be spending that money to convert our infrastructure first. If there is a push for electric powered vehicles before our infrastructure changes this will actually be WORSE for the environment.

An interesting twist worked its way through Minnesota’s efforts to secure a new stadium Tuesday. It’s a pretty complicated bureaucratic issue, but Jay Weiner of MinnPost explains the bottom line here. Essentially, the commission that owns and operates the Metrodome has asked the Vikings to drop their primary leverage -- the 2011 expiration of their lease -- in exchange for financial breaks at the stadium.

That would come in the form of extending their lease at the Metrodome while seeking local options for new construction. If they do not extend, the commission proposes to reinstate rent charges that were dropped earlier this decade.

Vikings officials were livid with the request and called the offer a “non-starter.” A team spokesman said owner Zygi Wilf was “outraged” that the commission is seeking to extend its time in the Metrodome rather than working toward financing and building a new facility.

The Bears are staggering having lost 4 of the last 5 games, but the "D' showed signs of life last week, and need both the offenese and defense to show together this week.the eagles also come into the game having lost 2 in row and 3 of last 5, including the raiders. The big blow to the eagles is losing westbrook to a concussion and the team has trouble without him.The bears have won the last 2 games against eagles in 2008 and 2007 and own a 27-9-1 overall advantage in the series. For the bears to have a chance Jay Cutler needs to step up ina big way and the "D" needs a game like last thursday.

Did you know?

matt forte had the most receiving yards,120, from a running back since 1961?

bears on O

It goes without saying this week, Culter needs to play like the Franchise Qb we know he can be, and not throw interceptions. the eagles secondary is pretty banged up and will have plays available, so do expect him to rebound. hope ron turner has learned his lesson last thursday and continues to use Forte on screens and in flat to slow down the blitzing and keep culter upright, esp against philly this can be deadly effective and lead to many drives. look to see D.A. get more time for know this week and see how he does with more rep's

bears on "D'

Without westbrook, the running game will fall on lesean mcoy's shoulders, which shouldn't worry anyone. Reid it seems doesn't even use the running game when westbrook is around, so would not be suprised to see a 50+ pass night from mcnabb sunday. its really important to get a pass rush on mcnabb and force him to throw early, Desean jackson has continued his good play from his rookie year and what frightens the most is elads league in 40+ plays, which unfort has beena problem for the bears. Zack bowman is riding a 2 game INT streak and will be matched up with him and he needs to make sure doesn't allow jackson behind him. Expect like most week, the eagles to pile the yards up, but die in red zone, esp without a running game, its been their downfall the last 2 years against bears

special teams

We have a big adavatange in ST and look to see manning back in kickoffs and hester on punts this week, don't know why,but think hester will have a big ST night sunday, esp after the baby distraction stuff last week

bears 24- eagles 21

culter- 28-38 275 2 td's 0 int

forte 20 carries 120 total yards 1 td

hester 6 catches 89 yards 1 td
