i'd like to first start off by saying.... 2005 World Champions.

Alright, now that's out of the way.... GO SOX. Who likes waiting 100 years for anything?

I used to not mind the cubs, but as displayed by the messages already on this post... cubs fans act like all sox fans are poor or trashy. It's disrespectful... totally untrue... and an excuse for 100 years of terrible cubs baseball.

Which messages gave you that impression?more Sox fans have run their mouth in this post so far anyways.I think you're one of those Ozzie like fans that bitches about the Cubs getting more pub.

Witness Protection is an exaggeration, he only had to find a new job and a new place to live.

    2005 World Champs

2006 didn't even make the playoffs, kind of makes that title seem like a fluke.

    Ok, by that logic...

    Cubs - 1908 World Champs!!

    1909 - no playoffs?  1908 was definitely a fluke!!

The difference is I can remember how bad the Sox sucked in 06 with basically the same team they had in 05.

In 1909 the Cubs finished 104-49 and easily would have made the playoffs if there were more than 8 NL teams at the time.

Face it dude, the Sox will always come in 2nd in the 2nd city.

I'm not sure I'm liking this logic.  Because that would mean the 1985 Bears were a fluke, and we all know that the best NFL team of all-time was NOT a fluke!

    Baseball sucks. BEARSCH!
“I haven’t worried about that because I don’t control that,” Grossman said. “I feel like I’ve done a lot for this team over the last five years. I’ve had some unfortunate things happen to me and some bad games. But for the most part, I feel like I’ve been a pretty good contributor to this organization in winning a lot of games.

“I don’t know how many games I’ve won, but we’ve won a lot of games when I’ve played. I’m proud of a lot of things I’ve done and I’m not paying attention to anyone or anything that will try to tell me otherwise.”

    Hate them both.

    Hate the Cubs more though.

There isn't, the Sox play in West Gary.

Let's just say that the winner shall be a certain team, from a certain Mid-western town, that starts with a "C", ends with an "O", and in the middle is "HICAG".

How do you call going 11-1 in the postseason a fluke? AND...the Sox went 90-72 in 2006, the sixth-best record in the major leagues and the best by a non-playoff team. The Central was just sick that year.

    GO SOX!

    Cubs!

First off, I refuse to respect any baseball team where the pitchers are too feminine to bat, and second, the Sox didn't have Harry Carey!

Harry is the reason I became a Cub fan back in 83 when we first got cable and WGN.

Oh yes they did!  Before Harry was hired away by the Cubs in '82, he was the White Sox announcer from '71-'81.  Harry started the tradition of singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th inning stretch @ Sox games long before he every went to Wrigley Field...
