I was thinking that Carlos Quentin almost looks like the second coming of Carlos Lee.

I wouldn't mind that...as long as he isn't as bad in the outfield, though...or the basepaths...

What do you think is going to happen when Owens returns?  Quentin's playing time going to suffer?

As long as the Sox are winning and Quentin is still playing well Ozzie better not bench Quentin and keep Owens in the minors.

He already came off the DL and was sent down to the minors with no word of it being for rehab.

I think I read somewhere that when Owens returns, if the Sox are still playing well, Ozzie's not gonna pull Los Quentin for Owens.

Haha, were you watching that Rockies' game?

He did look to regain some of that '05 form, but the reason they got rid of him was cause of injuries. Plus, he wasn't doing all that well, recently.

Pods was the man in 2005, but I'll take Quentin in left any day of the week over him right now.

Yeah, the upside on Quentin is far more pleasing. But I think we can all agree it was sad to see Lisa Dergan go with him.

Article is right on the money.  The starting pitching is giving less chances for middle relief to screw it up.  Get Paulie and Thome back in form and it's going to be a fun summer.

No, it's not just you.  Hitting I can see if he might be slow to start, but the fielding has been downright bad at times.  Hopefully, he's just in a transition stage and will heat it up and get at or near his career stats.

We're still seeing good starts from the kids, and Contreras, duct tape and all, is holding up.

Need M.B. to get it going right and for the bashers to start bashing.  It's warming up now, no more excuses--heard that all of '07.

Is it time to trade Konerko?  Swish would do just fine at first and we could get a fifth starter and some prospects for him... hmmm....

    It's all about the Bears!

And we would have been a wild card if our team had taken care of business. Lovie Smith, hang your head.

owens will NOT  take any of his playing time.  Quentin is up to 298 batting  average and last year owens hit 267 which is very good but id rather have a 300 hitter.  he is a great fielder and is very fast but id still rather have quentin out there who is also quite fast and is a great fielder.

also, good thing we didnt trade crede.  how about the clutch hits he has had this year and his amazing plays at 3rd base he has had.  he is on his way to getting the golden glove this year.  i think he is the best 3rd basemen is baseball and his hitting just makes him that much better than everyone else.  he isnt an A-Rod on the offensive side but he a a great player and i hope we keep him and his back stays in good shape.
