1 and a half years!!! Yea! How lame is that, oh well, loving supporting the Bears, only got in to football that long ago too, and got in to the Bears straight away.
jack, everyone is a new fan at some point. Even the guys that have supported them close on 50 years. The important thing is keep following the team no matter what.
I got into the Bears 82/83, and after the 85 SB win we've had more lean times than good times. But I'm still here. Still a Bear. Hell I even started a blog on the Bears.

Montrealbear:It was 1981. I put it on my bio...I was watching a game between the Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys. Some guy by the name of Tony Dorsett was carrying the ball when I turned on the game. He broke one for about 30 yards or something. I sat down and watched the D dig in. I loved the simplicity of the Blue and Orange. The majesty of the helmet, and that of the helmets hitting... HARD.They held this America's team, and then it shifted to the offence. #34. Almost enough said. He was just brilliant. Just sweetness. It was riveting, crazy so. Never seen anything like it. High step, catching out of backfield... getting stopped, no, not stopped... working, working, working. It was dirty. It was ugly. It was beautiful. I said, "This will be my team." I am a high school teacher and my walls are adorned with much Bears stuff. I teach journalism, ironically, and one of the first things I teach is, There is the Bears, and then there is the news. They all understand. During the season, every Monday, I wear a Bears jersey. I have Waddle, I have Thomas, I have Jones, I have Urlacher x 2...I have Blue, orange and white... and if I'm cut, those are the colors I bleed. What a fun thread.
