I just picked up the game like 2 weeks ago. I got to say I am disappointed in how weak they made the Bears its like we suck in every way except for Cutler. Maybe I am being too critical I am 7-0 on My skill have a 700 already.

Dude the new one 10 is a true upgrade its amazing really is. That said your right most years they just use the same graphics and add new features. They are the best at selling people basically the same product over and over again each year.

Is '10 better than '09 enough to warrant a new purchase?  I really didn't care for '09 compared to '08 so just wondering. 

Also, noticed there's a (CBMB Modbot edit) ton of downloads for Madden 10 but it looks like a lot of which are basicly cheats or features that should be in the game already rather than payed extra for.  Lame..

I hated '09. I bought the collectors edition of it (because it had a playable version of Madden '93) and I played less than a full season on it. In contrast I loved '08.

This years version is the best Madden ever IMO. The passing is better. As is the running and the tackling.  As for the cheats that you have to pay for. Sure, they would be nice to have, but aren't necessary. Your players are still going to increase and decrease as usual, it's just the cheats 'max out' a certain players (or coaches) stats. And to me that is cheating, so I'm glad it's not part of the game.

the bears are truly terrible this year. they decided to make forte slow. NONE of our recievers can beat man coverage. this pretty much takes away passing. the only reciever that can get open is olsen and he is only rated an 82. our safeties cannot make a tackle to save their life and this has lead to my opponents having 60 yard td's when it only should have been a 15 yard completion. it has gotten to the point where i dont play with the bears online anymore.

I do fine with the Bears online. Knox, Hester, Forte and Olsen are great weapons. Then again, I use the Seahawks playbook so I might play a little differently.

BTW, if you ever wanna a game my GT is TriggerTRE.

09 was ok, but not really that much better than 08.  They should of taken nfl coach and combined it with madden 09 as one game instead of 2 separate games.

I just got madden 10 yesterday for PS3 and it's worlds better.  I love the extra point feature.  It's like watching a sports network.

Cutler is now 86 (was 87 or 88), Forte 88 (was 90), Bears 79 (were 80), Pass defense 2 Squares (was 1) Gaines Adams is an 80, like Alex Brown. I put in Gaines Adams and moved Brown to DL. Good move BTW. The Ol is in like 70's except for pace who is like 82 or 80. I think he was a little higher. Olin i think went down too but im not sure. And there ya go!

Cant beleive they moved Cutler down. That sucks. Getting ready to start a new dynasty so i need to get the more up to date roster...Question do any of you guys trade the 1st to Den and the 2nd to Bucs. I just wanted to see who else does it.

I traded a 1st to Seattle since Denver ended up trading one of their 1st rounders to them. I started my franchise before the Adams trade and the cpu won't accept it if I try to do the trade manually so he isn't on my roster

Its funny how much people complain that gameplay in madden isnt realistic at all but honestly, it really is. Since the updates, the Bears in Madden are playing like the real Bears. the O-line cant run or pass block, Forte is an absolute train wreck and has ZERO acceleration, the receivers can't block or get open to save their lives, the secondary can't cover ANY pass oriented team without giving up 60 to 70 yard passes, they cant defend the run, there is zero pass rush, and they tackle very poorly. On a funny note, I traded Earl Bennett, Israel Idonije, Jamar Williams, and a first round pick to the Texans for Andre Johnson and Bernard Pollard. From just adding those two players, the Bears went from a 79 to an 87, LOL.

there has been another update probably the final one of the season DA is bout as good as Hester line is still terrible over you have to be pretty darn good to win with them like me.  cutler is an 82 so at least he never dipped below and 80 this yr.

The Line is bad that is why I run alot of swing passes to Forte. Beleive he had 93 catches for me one year... Didnt really have a problem with pass protection due to running throwing passes within 10 yards. Went with the dink and dunk O. Still had over 4000 yards. Havent played since Dec, so going to fire it up start a new season as soon as I get done with my Ncaa season...

make sure you get the download there are some improvments on the roster to be happy about, but it still the bears poor line and roster
