Yeah, you show me anyone who's gotten rich constantly picking dogs.

That's why you go with your head instead of your heart. You picked the dog (Bears) yesterday Dinky. Why? Could it have something to do with you being a fan? At least I have no problem against picking my team, even if in my "heart" I think they can win.

Thanks for the Detroit schedule. I looked at the following week by mistake.

I can no longer hide my admiration for the Green Bay Packers. Last year's 37-3 beat down and this year's sweep of my former beloved Bears has helped affirm my decision of joining Geno in support of a far more superior team.

Nope. You predicted a Bears win and a Packers win. It's two pages back - post #2568. The blue portion is your quote.

I predict a Packers win and a Bears loss this week. Do you argue with me? Do you say "I disagree IHTB. I think the Packers will lose because..." Or do you say "I disagree ITHB. I think the Bears will win because..." Nope. Instead you mockingly say "Of course."  I think both Bears and Packers will win this week.

    I don't deflect...you do.

    ROFL!

You don't deflect? Are you serious??? Can you actually type that with a straight face? Or do you have no idea what the term means?

I talk about Matt Forte. Do you argue with me on the merits of what I wrote? Nope. Instead you ask why I don't talk about the Packers' offensive line.  Uh..you wrote about the Packers offensive line, too.  Why would I argue with the merits of Forte sucking...he has sucked so far.

I praise Clay Matthews. Do you argue with me? Nope. Instead you ask why I don't bring up the Bears' wide receivers.  I neither agree nor disagree about Clay Matthews.  The point is...which you keep pretending not to get, is that you go on and on about bright spots for the PAckers, but ignore or minimize bright spots for the Bears.

That is CLASSIC deflection. Instead of actually debating with me, you bring up completely unrelated points. Bull.  I mentioned the Packers beat up on a Lions team missing their 2 best players and took issue with you praising the PAckers for a shutout, after you have repeatedly claimed the Lions WITH those two players are not even an NFL team. Do you realize that by doing so you're not even disagreeing with what I wrote? I don't think you do. For the three billionth time, I DISAGREE WITH THE EMPHASIS YOU PUT ON THE NEGATIVES FOR THE BEARS, AND THE POSITIVES YOU PUT ON THE PACKERS.  It is supposed to be an analysis.  Instead you blast me (yet give no reasons why), you bring up several other issues, then you mock me by rewriting what I wrote. And I rewrote what you wrote to show how ridiculously biased your analysis is.  When you dedicate an entire paragraph in the breakdown of the BEars game to ripping Forte, and have no such paragraph for the Packers o-line, your analysis is biased.  Oh, and you also threw out some sort of insult about evaluating a player's good looks. Weird.  It is wierd that you make comments about the looks of Bears players.

It's deflection Dinky. I know you won't admit that. But I do think you're smart enough to realize it.  YOU deflect.  You wrote an analysis, and I rip it for being biased.  I repeatedly point out that you posted WAY more negatives about the Bears than the Packers.  You go way overboard to praise Clay Matthews, but no such praise for Bears players.

Imagine you are a swimmer.  I rip your kick, your recovery, your start, none of which were perfect.  Then I say, but you still did a decent job.  Then I comment about swimmer #2, who is of similar ability (which you claim is the case for the Packers and Bears).  I go on and on about how he did a good job, and in passing mention that if he worked on his kick and recovery he could be any beter.  Everything I worte is true, yet in my "analysis" I elected to focus on the negative for you and the positives for swimmer #2.  That is the EXACT, disingenuous "analysis" you performed here.  THAT it the topic, and you will not address that AT ALL.

Here it is for you Dinky. I bolded it and made it big for you so you won't miss it. Look up.

    Cheers!

OK..I don't really consider that a "prediction."  I felt the Bears would win, but not strongly enough to make a prediction.  I predicted a Packers win in a separate analysis.  But if you consider that a prediction, the fact remains that I predicted the Packers to win as well.  So if I "predict" with my heart as you claim, why did I not predict a Packers loss?

OK..I don't really consider that a "prediction." LOL Of course you don't. Of course when someone says to me "I think both Bears and Packers win win this week" that to me says he's predicting a Bears and Packers win.  I felt the Bears would win, but not strongly enough to make a prediction.  I predicted a Packers win in a separate analysis.  But if you consider that a prediction, the fact remains that I predicted the Packers to win as well.  So if I "predict" with my heart as you claim, why did I not predict a Packers loss?

    Oh boy Dinky.

I never insinuated that you predict with your HEART on every pick did I? Of course not. Fans who predict with their heart only do so with their favorite team. Are you a Packer fan? No. So would you pick them to win because they're your favorite team?

I would assume after losing two games in a row, you'll take solace in the Bears just getting a win. And it will probably be a blowout win at that.

Note: IHTB is out of town for the next 24 hours+. So just in case the Bears should happen to win tomorrow (which they very well could) I will not be around right after the game to update this thread. Of course if they lose, no one would be asking for it anyway. Funny how that works.

    Enjoy the games fellow fans!

Lame comment about how Bears fans disappear after a Bears loss...check.

And yet in the past five hours, there has been only one post in this forum by anyone other than me. Strange how this happens after a week in which the Bears lost and the Packers won.

Of course the most ironic thing is that Dinky himself hasn't posted in over a day now.

    Cheers!

You know full well I often go days without posting here.  Nothing "ironic."  I've probably posted more after that Bears football "game" than most others, including Wardi, so it's not exactly like I've been hiding.

I can no longer hide my admiration for the Green Bay Packers. Last year's 37-3 beat down and this year's sweep of my former beloved Bears has helped affirm my decision of joining Geno in support of a far more superior team.

Perhaps. But my "lame" comment is 100% accurate and is proven so time and time again.

I was at the grocery store buying eight apples, and the clerk asked me if I would like a bag. And I said, "No, man, I juggle! But I can only juggle eight. If I'm ever here buying nine apples, bag 'em up!"

NO.  This place has been dead since the return of Wardi drove away so many regulars.  Most posts here are now threads that have been dumped from the main forum.  Even Packer fans haven't been here this week.

    Is Geno in hiding, too?

    Re: weakone

I'm around and read the forums when I can but it's been nuts here at work and at home.  I'm replacing these worn out windows (27) and doors.  Anyone in need of some badly worn windows 1940 vintage?  I gotta get this crap out of my driveway.

    Re: weakone

Wardi came back last spring. Over the summer, this forum was on fire. DB was posting a dozen threads every week and was making comments anywhere and everywhere. And now even he's been muzzled. I think he made one post in here today.

And then came opening night. Packers 21, Bears 15. And for the next several days this forum turned into a morgue. The only thing that perks it up is either a Bears win or a Packers loss.

It's been that way after every Bears loss/Packers win this season. Wardi has nothing to do with it. Only two people said they were leaving because of Wardi. One was Wisc - who came back to stay after a couple of months. The other was Bigdaddy - who hadn't posted in several months, but came back for one day to make one post saying he wasn't going to come back anymore. How silly was that?
