I remember being at the games and dudes wearing these uniforms would walk around the park. It was a contest for the best one.  I think they picked the less offensive one when you see the choices.

Both Quentin and Ramirez are unbelieveable additions. Thank you Kenny Williams for getting them and Ozzie playing play them.!

Both are really helping my keeper team.  For my team's sake I hope the rumors about him possibly being your starting SS next year are true.

Yeah, a lot of solid unis for the Sox, but I think we call all agree the shorts were the best. Now THAT'S what I'm talking about:

With the way OC has picked his game up (finally to what was expected of him), I'd like to see the same double-play combo for a few more years: Cab at SS, Cuban Missle at 2B. Those are some canons manning your infield right there.

Re: Official 2008 White Sox thread

Great game last night. And how about that Brian Anderson with that huge 2-run double? Outstanding. Better note from last night? Sox were able to compete in a game with Sabathia. An even better note? Adam Russell getting his 2nd win in as many nights with just 4 outs. Haha, I love it.

The good news is they swept a division rival...the bad news is that they get to face the A's for a 4 game set, and they're sending their top pitchers to the mound... sad [*sad*]

Funny I didn't see any Sox fans giving props to the Cubs last week....go figure

And still none to this day....and this is why Sox fans have NO class...I give credit when it's due but I don't or didn't see any Sox fans stepping out to give the Cubs credit in the Cubs thread. I gave credit to Sox fans and team in their own team thread, so did Phipps......go figure.

Great game tonight after losing two in a row to the A's.  Was there and it was a blast like always.

Ya and I wonder which 'classy' Cubs fan rated the OP's post 1 star..

Anyhoo, back to baseball......Sox salvage a split and are still up a game up on the twins who have to go to boston.  It would be nice to stay in first before the break.   Speaking of which, Crede an all-star?  No way.  Quentin yes, Dye yes.

Based off that we lack class? If that's the case, I guess every fanbase of every team that's been beaten by the Cubs and failed to show any signs of congratulatory emotion is classless, correct? That's a lot of fanbases. In fact, that's ALL fanbases. No wait, Cubs fans are the only respectable folks.

    Talk about being judgemental.

Yeah, a split series with the A's is a win...in my book anyway. I guess Crede's finally getting name recognition? Danks should be on the All-Star team too. If he's not, I'll be like...."meh".

On another thrilling note: Brew Crew lands C.C. (obviously abbreviated for 'Crooked Cap') Sabathia. It's nice to see him out of the AL...at least for the rest of the year.

Hopefully, CC will propel the Brewers past the flubs.

If Danks got more run support he might have made it, but the whole fan voting process blows.  Let the sportswriters, ball players vote like in the old days. Then you'd see who is actually an all star of the current year and not some name people recognize from previous years.

Wait, I thought coaches and players got to decide the pitching staff? Fans get to choose the position players.

    ???

I'd look it up, but c'mon, we all know I'm lazy.

Re: Official 2008 White Sox thread

Wow, talk about an UGLY win last night. That game was all over the place there. But hey, at least we got to see a 2-run sacrifice fly. Cuban Missle's got some dangerous speed on hisself.

What do you think, time to start looking elsewhere to fill the closer's role while Jenks isn't available? Linebrink's been scaring me the last 3 times he's been out...I don't know who you can try though. Maybe Thornton.
