Wow the top draft picks for packers, falling like flies.. brohm was claimed from the packers practice squad by the bills, thus ending another 2nd round bust for pakcers, with jordy nelson being first round dissapointment- which is a step up from complete bust harrell,but still a big disapointment the 2008 draft looking ugly at top

add to this 2007 busts of harrell at top, brandon jackson at #2 and james jones at #3

terrible teddy sure not brining the good drafts home.

even agains the pathetic lions, rodgers and the Awful Paker slien found a way to get sacked 5 times! It isn't jsut th line, but rodgers still holds the ball too long.

He's ona pace for 80, which think woudl be a NFL record.. though doubt if the pounding continues he makes it to the end of the season

They have above average receivers.
We have the worst secondary I have ever seen.
Their secondary and preassure schemes can terrorize Cutler and his fans.

NOTE: Nov. 21 2009 If Harris leads the Dline to get constant preassure and McNabb cannot connect, I will attribute past blowouts to the Cardinals and Bengals to his absence.

BAGHDAD - It seems that the Brett Favre-Green Bay Packers saga is such a worldwide phenomenon that it's being used by detainees in American military camps.

According to a military official, detainees at a Wisconsin National Guard camp in Iraq are using Brett Favre as a manner of getting at the guard troops there.

"They know Favre by name," said First Lieutenant Tim Boehnen, who is from New Richmond, Wis.

"One of the big words they know now is shenanigan. They'll constantly talk about 'Favre shenanigans,' 'He's so good for the Vikings,' and 'The Packers have got to really feel bad about that one.' "

According to Boehnen, it started when troops there started decorating their camp in Packers colors.

"We try to allow our troops to have as much fun in the compound as they can while still maintaining our professional manner," explained Boehnen.

"We spend a lot of time painting and making our compound our own and representing us. Obviously, wherever Wisconsinites go, we bring the Packers with us."

Once the decoration job happened, detainees became curious.

"They obviously then started up the conversations, and started talking about Brett Favre. They soon learned about Favre going to the Vikings, and things just started going downhill from there."

An interesting twist worked its way through Minnesota’s efforts to secure a new stadium Tuesday. It’s a pretty complicated bureaucratic issue, but Jay Weiner of MinnPost explains the bottom line here. Essentially, the commission that owns and operates the Metrodome has asked the Vikings to drop their primary leverage -- the 2011 expiration of their lease -- in exchange for financial breaks at the stadium.

That would come in the form of extending their lease at the Metrodome while seeking local options for new construction. If they do not extend, the commission proposes to reinstate rent charges that were dropped earlier this decade.

Vikings officials were livid with the request and called the offer a “non-starter.” A team spokesman said owner Zygi Wilf was “outraged” that the commission is seeking to extend its time in the Metrodome rather than working toward financing and building a new facility.

The switching to the 3-4 defense and not getting any free agent help, having kampman misplaced as a OLB, while be a disaster and pickett will never make it as a DE, rendring the packers a bottom 3 sack team in league, and teams passing all day on them

A good percentage of Packerfans will turn on Rodgers for his interceptions and 2nd stright year of loses. . However, they will have their hands full with the even larger percentage who Want terrible teddy fired and their screams and pitchforks will rue the nights as poor tedddy and rodgers pet's are found dead in consecutive nights.. . The Rodgers supporters will blame it on the lack of free agent signings for the 14 loses, while the Terrible teddy supporters will blame it on rodgers not being a good qb or knowing how to win close games

Jay Cutler will have a fine year. He'll throw for just over 3500 yards, but will fall a little bit short of Erik Kramer's club records for yards and touchdowns. He'll throw around 27 touchdowns to go along with 20 interceptions. The Bears defense will once again fall well short of expectations.

A good percentage of Bear fans will turn on Cutler for his interceptions. However, they will have their hands full with the even larger percentage who back up Cutler and say he's by far the best quarterback the Bears have had in their lifetime. The Cutler supporters will blame it on the lack of decent wide receivers.

Up 10-0 in the 4th. Packers defense doing a great job.

Let'see if they can hold and extend the lead.

Must be great for you bear fans, at least you don't have to worry about Cutler embarrassing your team.

Oh, and by the way, As long as the Packers win against the Cowboys today, does it matter that he's been sacked several times again?

I think the guy is smart to hang on to the ball. I don't know what you think, but Cutler's 17 interceptions doesn't seem to be helping you.

NFL Network Referee review this week....Patriots or Cowboys, who got screwed?

Watched the episode this week where the head of the referees reviews the tape with Rich Eisen.

Seems that the Patriots got more screwed than the Packers. It was a "game changer" call. Although I liked his answer for the Cowboys/Packers situation. It's in the rules, "....fumble in the field of play..."

On the Patriots, it reminds me of the famous Don Majowski TD against the bears where the previous rule was where the ball left his hand, not where his feet were on the field.

The Patriots receiver seemed to have his foot on the 30 yardline and control, so could there be a rule change in the future?

You be the judge. Either way, the Patriots call was more influential of the outcome than those dreamers that don't want to acknowledge that the Packers are turning the corner and will not finish 2-14....heheehheheheehehe, I love that Db prediction, Hilarious.

Is Jay Cutler the next Jack Concannon?

I brought this up earlier, but it seems to be lost on most bear fans.

Back in 1967, the bears traded Mike Ditka for the 1964 AFL Draft number one pick, Jack Concannon.

It was thought that Jack Concannon would be the "franchise QB" that the bears were missing. The Packers had Bart Starr and dominated the bears from the late 1950's to the present time, so with Jack Concannon, the bears were supposed to turn it around.

But we now know that it was a futile trade. The bears never improved with JC.

The similarities between Jack Concannon and Jay Cutler are stark. Both first rounders, and only three years in the league when they were traded.

I suspect Jay Cutler will not do any better than Jack Concannon. Here's to another JC QB.

BREAKING NEWS..... The head brat chef told Coach McCarthy "Hey, Mike only have 5 brats after the games this week"!!! The chef was taken from his Friday fish fry for questioning by Ted Thompson. No word if he will get fired or if he will make his 6:00pm bowling match. More updates as they are made available. GO BEARS!!!

One of the big stories of Aaron rodgers, besides his quest to set a new NFL RECORD OF SACKS(37 and counting), is how he can't lead his team to victories,or string wins together, but can string loses together!!..We are always told that 'wins" are all that matter and rodgers is one of the worst Qb's in the NFL in this category.. in 1 1/2 seasons, he HAS NEVER WON even 3 games in a row!

But he sure knows how to string together Loses!!.. he's already had a 3 game losing streak and a 5 game losing streak

Guess we should just call him the "losing streak"!

he is riding another 2 game losing streak, will be make it 3 today? and try for his 5 gamer of last year?

Bears fans, keep you chin up. Still seven games to play and if you get hot you can still make it to the post season.

Our Saints have gotten of an excellent start this year but we have been living dangerously as of late. Hopefully we can regain the form we had against the Gaints, Eagles etc. and show the country what the NFC is all about on November 30th.

Rooting for you guys to make it to the post season and make a visit to the Dome for some redemption. Sure hope you can dial up two beat downs against the Vikings. If you can beat the Steelers you can definitely beat the Vikings.

Keep in mind that in 07 at one point the Giants were about to run their coach out of town and got on a run. In 08 many said that the cardinals were an embarassment after they were blown out by someone mid season. Both went to the big dance and one won it. I wish you well for the rest of the season.

I predict our division goes from one of the weakest to one of the strongest this year. I definately think we will get 2 teams into the playoffs this year! Bears, Packers, & Vikings I believe will each win at least 9 games this year. I just think all 3 are pretty egual. I give the edge to the Vikings because they still have the best offensive and defensive lines, and not just in our division but I believe in the entire NFL. They also have the best RB in the entire NFL. Their problem is they are average at all the other positions.

Vikings 11-5

Bears 10-6

Packers 9-7

Lions 2-14

"Doomed" - which is apparently in the title of the article. Wisc should appreciate this, as he's on record as saying Schefter's "the best" guy out there.

Q: I am really concerned about the state of the Chicago Bears not just now but also for the next several years. You win the game in trenches, yet their O- and D-lines are mediocre thanks to Jerry Angelo, who has neglected drafting O-line for years. Instead, he gives away draft picks for mediocre players and drafts players who can't even contribute and sit on the bench instead. I always felt that the way their ownership has done business is being reflected in the product on the field right now. Lovie Smith and Jerry Angelo are just average football people. Please give your honest assessment of this franchise good or bad.

A: Here's what concerns me, Steven: No. 1, Jay Cutler looks as if he has any number of issues to work through, as a player and a person. He's good enough and young enough that he certainly can. But there's a lot of work to be done there. Also, not only did the Bears give up a first-round pick in the upcoming draft for Cutler, in what will be one of the best drafts in years, they also gave up their second-round pick for defensive end Gaines Adams. Now, in this great draft, the Bears are not scheduled to pick until Round 3. And when the offensive line is as weak as you and others say, and there is no big wide receiver to get the football to, there are some questions about how long it might take the Bears to improve.
