That little proposition, as it relates to basketball, can not be an easy one for any offspring to undertake.

It's not just that your dad was a great NBA basketball player. Your dad was the single greatest basketball player who ever lived. Your entire life, you're not just a classmate to your friends. You're the son of their hero. Imagine that! For all of the sundry benefits of being Jordan's son -- the money, the basketball shoes, the unimaginably awesome toys you'd get as a kid -- the specter of anticipation, of "hey, that's Michael Jordan's son out there" would haunt you for as long as you played basketball.

It appears those days are over for Jordan's eldest offspring. Jeffrey Jordan, a walk-on-turned-scholarship-athlete at Illinois, has apparently decided to hang up his balling kicks for good:

"I loved playing for the Fighting

Derek Rose jersey

That was an awfully nice gift from the Bulls to their STH!

No further punishment for Rajon Rondo.....

I am officially convinced the NBA does not want to even remotely try to repair their crooked image after this bit of news.

http://www.nba.com/2009/playoffs2009/05/01/celtics.rondo.ap/index.html
bulls chat

http://client11.addonchat.com/sc.php?id=304047

come on in Bulls fans, do or die time!!
Congratulations D. They are catching them at a vulnerable time. Both games 1 & 2 were awesome...and nerve racking. Glad to pick up at least one (even though both games were there for the taking). Even more glad to get the F out of Boston for a couple. I don't know if I have ever seen such bad officiating in the NBA before. They are killing the Bulls with horrible calls both games, luckily we were able to overcome it game one. Noah getting all ball time and time again and still getting the whistle, Derrick Rose getting hacked every drive and only getting a foul 1/3rd of the time. Paul Pierce throwing the ball out of bounds with 10 secs. left and the refs blowing the call.

anyways...I hope that the bulls get those kind of breaks back at Chicago. otherwise that ish is fixed....
Bulls up 1-0 vs the Celtics!!

With Rose posting 36 on his playoff debut.

It is a very interesting question that doesn't have an easy answer. Do we trade him? Can we even trade him? Do we bench Salmons even though he's been playing amazing? Do we shift Salmons to the 2 and start Deng at the 3? Will this make Gordon upset? Will Gordon even be back with the team next season? The Deng situation is actually team problem. We've been playing so well since the trade, but the question is how do we move forward?

They have a solid base and an above average set of moderators. At one point I thought that this board could be the same. Unfortunatley that never came to fruition. The complete lack of moderation, (in where there are 13 threads on the same topic), and the fact that there is very little discussion on actual news or football philosophy have really soured my opinion of this board as a whole. I certainly don't mean to discount the hard work and contributions of the ritual posters here, such as DB Bears etc. Him along with others make this board readable.

Instead I'm just asking if there is something more. A board that I have not discovered yet. Somewhere where real dialogue occurs. Not a place where some 13 year old starts a thread for the hell of it, ( and I welcome all well informed youngsters, I loved the Bears as much at that age as I do now as well,).

Anyways, just looking for sugestions and don't mean to insult any regulars. I'm just used to, and wish for a better run board, that's all.

So if anyone has any suggestions, post here.
