Weight: 335.

May be better suited for guard but in either case he's probably big enough to play RT and if not we still need a guard.

OT Chris Scott Tennessee
Height: 6-5 Weight: 342

Bigger guy who supposedly is a very excellent run blocker. Might be an interesting play at RT.

Antonio Baker FS 5'11 200 Louisiana Tech
He's supposedly a very good tackler and because he's from a small school he may be around in the 4-5th. We also seem to love dbs from louisana. Think Tillman and Payne are both from Louisiana schools along with Steltz.

John Thorne (Head Coach at North Central College) Should be considered next University of Illinois Head Coach

This man has been a champion at every level he has coached at.

Russ Lande, War Room scout

Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 - 3:29 p.m. ET

Sporting News draft expert Russ Lande and his team of former NFL scouts produce their 2010 mock draft, with the order based on current records (*-underclassman):

1. Rams: Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
The Rams have whiffed on two recent first-round D-linemen (Adam Carriker, Chris Long). Suh is an impact interior defender who would upgrade the defense immediately.

The Browns need someone to make plays, and Dez Bryant would fit the bill.

2. Browns: Dez Bryant*, WR, Oklahoma State
The Browns' offense is historically bad, scoring only five touchdowns in nine games. A big part of the problem is a lack of playmakers.

3. Lions: Gerald McCoy*, DT, Oklahoma
The Lions must upgrade the pass rush and interior defensive line, and McCoy is capable of making game-changing plays routinely.

4. Buccaneers: Eric Berry*, CB, Tennessee
CB Ronde Barber turns 35 in April, and S Sabby Piscitelli is not a quality starter. Berry is an elite athlete who can start anywhere in the secondary.

5. Chiefs: Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State
Okung would start at right tackle early before replacing inconsistent LT Branden Albert.

6. Raiders: Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma
LG Robert Gallery, an average blocker, is the team's best lineman. Williams has the size, strength and athleticism to help QB JaMarcus Russell make strides in '10.

7. Seahawks: Bryan Bulaga*, OT, Iowa
LT Walter Jones' Hall of Fame career could be over, and the team must do everything it can to keep QB Matt Hasselbeck healthy in his later years.

8. Redskins: C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson
RB Clinton Portis is approaching the 30-year-old wall, and Ladell Betts is best suited to be a backup. Spiller, with his running and receiving skills, could revitalize QB Jason Campbell's career.

9. Bills: Sergio Kindle, OLB, Texas
Kindle is an explosive athlete who could start at outside linebacker and move up to rush end in passing situations.

10. Titans: Cameron Heyward*, DE, Ohio State
Heyward says he'll return to Ohio State for his senior year, but we think he'll change his mind once he realizes he'd be a top-15 pick. DEs Kyle Vanden Bosch and Jevon Kearse both are north of 30.

11. 49ers: Joe Haden*, CB, Florida
The coaches like Tarell Brown, so adding Haden would give the 49ers a gifted young tandem.

12. Broncos (from Bears): Jon Asamoah, G, Illinois
The Broncos have two athletic young tackles but must improve at guard. Asamoah is athletic and competitive.

13. Jets: Arthur Jones, DT, Syracuse
Jones shows the athleticism, strength and competitive streak to start at either end spot in the Jets' 3-4 scheme.

14. Dolphins: Mardy Gilyard, WR, Cincinnati
Gilyard would bring the athleticism, explosiveness, hands and big-play ability sorely lacking on offense.

15. 49ers (from Panthers): Anthony Davis*, OT, Rutgers
The 49ers have struggled to run consistently despite having an elite back in Frank Gore. Davis could challenge for a starting tackle or guard job as a rookie.

contin

I'm glad BSU is finally getting fed up with the BCS enough to finally voice it. Ohio St. can lose AT HOME to a 2-5 team and still be in the hunt, while Boise State has to stay undefeated and blow everybody out by 30+? ? They say BSU doesn't play a 'tough enough' schedule, but they won't give them a 'tough enough' one to play, so they will never be able to get to the big ones, while the Ohio States continue to cupcake walk their way to the big bowls year after year. This needs fixed, the sooner the better.

If Iowa wins out

do they deserve a shot at the title?

For the record, I think it depends on what Texas does, and I hate the BCS. There should be a playoff system
Fat Little Girlfriends

Did anybody else just catch Texas Tech's HC Mike Leach's rant about his player's "Fat Little Girlfriends" telling them what they want to hear? • We Hardly Knew Ye. There was plenty of intrigue Monday around the sudden, unexplained exit of Syracuse receiver Mike Williams
just a few days after he was named one of 10 semifinalists for the
Biletnikoff Award as the best receiver in the country. Williams has a
winding history at SU: An instant-impact type as a true freshman, he
was All-Big East as a sophomore in 2007 before being declared
academically ineligible in 2008; after working his way back into school
and onto the roster under new coach Doug Marrone, Williams was making
the best of his second chance by leading the conference in receiving, but was also suspended
for undisclosed reasons in the Orange's Oct. 24 win over Akron. He
returned to catch four passes last Saturday against Cincinnati, but
even before the suspension, there were ominous warnings to the world on Williams' Facebook page, which the student Daily Orange reported last week:

"I HATE COLLEGE I CANT SEE ME DOING THIS FOR LONG……..HINT HINT.-0 LMAO"

That message was eventually replaced with the athletic department line: "Everyone Im (sic) staying in school to get my degree sorry for the faulse (sic) information every one getting."
But the initial message, in addition to being more grammatically
convincing, was very accurate: For whatever reason -- if there is a
reason beyond an aversion to exerting effort under someone else's
direction -- Williams is gone from 'Cuse for the second time in two
years and this time won't even be offered any hoops to jump through to
return to the fold.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/Headlinin-The-curious-departure-of-Mike-Willia?urn=ncaaf,199873

Illini QB situation

Apparently Zook is doing a 2 QB system the next game.

I have no idea why they didn't make Juice Williams a running back, because he clearly cant pass the ball.

They should be starting Jacob Charest at QB and using Juice as a RB. That's all he ever does anyway, tuck the ball and run for more yards than the RBs.

On top of that they should be making McGee a wideout. He's way more efficient at WR than he ever was at QB.

They scout great athletes that play in the wrong positions.
Scott Concannon - Northwestern University

I watched this kid a little bit yesterday. Even still it seems early. But it's Wed. and I'm bored at work.

My initial thoughts are that we're going to need at least 1 DE next year possibly 2. Ogunleye may end up being gone if he doesn't have a good year and the same can be said for Anderson. With the lack of a pure pass rusher there and the fact we may lose 2 DE's, I think that becomes our #1 need. Thus far, it's looking like there may be a decent class at DE. Thus far, Walterfootball has 13 guys graded at 1-2 round projections(3 are underclassmen though Dunlap is probably a sure bet to jump to the NFL as the best DE in the nation).

FS is probably a close second. I have a bit more faith here because in theory, Graham possesses the ability to fill the role. At DE I don't really see much hope to improve what we had last year unless Gilbert starts playing at DE or unless Anderson reverts to 2006. That's the reasoning for this being #2. Good news here also though is that another deep area in next years draft. 8 of them are listed with a 1st or 2nd round grade(4 are underclassmen).

WR is probably our #3 need but I don't see us drafting anyone high for 2 reasons. #1, we already have a lot of young talent here. #2 There don't appear to be that many "big" WR that warrant a high round pick. Also, there may be a few good WR on the market next season. Edwards still hasn't signed an extension. Roddy White likely will but he's set to be a FA. Vincent Jackson is set to be a FA. Steve Breaston is also set to become a FA. So, we likely can improve via FA.

After that, I think you have to look to get younger on the OL(specifically at OT), and possibly at MLB. Also, a #2 RB is a need.

We'll likely have a low 2nd since Denver has our first. With that pick I suspect a DE. Some names that come to mind include Greg Romeus, C.J. Wilson, and Brandon Lang from pitt, east carolina and troy respectively. All 3 currently have a 2nd round grade according to Walterfootball and all 3 have 4-3 size.

For our second pick, FS Anderson Russell from Ohio State would make sense. Historically Ohio State has produced good DBs. Nate Allen from USF and Justin Woodall from Alabama make sense as well.

I'm not going to go any farther than this because it's impossible to predict later rounds days before the draft let alone 9-10 months before it. I just wanted to get an idea of some name to watching during the college season. Some other names worth watching are likely Major Wright from florida and Myron Lewis from Vandy as we seem to be fielding most of the pro vandy players.

Michigan Iowa this weekend

Hawks are gonna spank em... hopefully
Porter RB from Louisi Tech

I know the competition in the WAC isnt great but this kid is shifty, hits the hole quick and decisive but most important, he keeps his legs churning...

noel devine

with pat white steve slaton and the run away beer truck all finally gone this guy is now the man at wvu im thinkin hes got heisman potential whats you guys thoughts?
