Listen to Hub Arkush former Chicago Bears insider turned 670 the score sports talk host says about the Bears draft picks. Are you kidding me?

Brandon Albert is a charter issue, have you heard him speak? Do sounds angry all the time! I can see Kansas City having HUGE problems signing him and getting him into training camp on time. He's gonna be a problem, he sound's money hungry.
Mario Manningham is another headache waiting to happen with huge character problems he lied to all NFL teams before the scouting combine about smoking weed and then sent out an apology letter before the draft in hopes of smoothing things over. Uhhhhh no!
Ray Rice??? Nice player but he's 5'8" we already have Garrett Wolfe who's 5'7" why would the Bears have wanted to draft a smaller guy to have to little people behind center who will be a liability stopping 6'5" 300lbers? Come on Hub!!!
Then he spoke about Marcus Monk, Craig Steltz, Zack Bowman, and Harrison having former knee problems. That's good because that means they are either 100% healed by now or 98% close to being and their problems are behind them. We drafted Benson, Dusty Dvoracheck, Mike Brown, Mark Bradley and none of them had injury problems until they got to the Bears. All of our rookies will be healthy this year and each one will contribute greatly to the success of this year for the Bears.
Come on Hub!!!!

Mark Bradley had knee problems in college before the Bears drafted him.
Omeletpants:Hub sounds right on target to me
Interesting how he condemns the Bears for going "boom or bust", yet he wanted the Bears to draft a player in Brandon Albert, who played Guard in the ACC, and then move him to LT. He was not good enough to play LT at Virginia, but was worth a # 14 pick in the NFL for the same position? By the way, most of the boards I saw had Williams rated ahead of Otah, and Otah is NOT a LT, which was the Bears greatest need.
He also mentions "character concerns" with Harrison and Davis, but then laments the Bears passing on Mario Manningham, who had major red flags. He failed two drug tests at Michigan, lied to NFL teams about it, and scored a 6 on the Wonderlic.
Jamal Charles? This kid carried the ball over 20 times in a game six (6) times in his entire collage career. He is not am every down back. Ray Rice is interesting, but small, and Tashard Choice?
Hub has been bitter ever since the Bewars fired him.

Yep.
ItsHester23 is right on the money, Hub had a few facts to work with but is way wrong with the complete view.
What idiots like that fail to realize is that we drafted guys who we knew can step in and contribute RIGHT AWAY. They are all quality players with lots of potential. That's why the Bears make the picks and not fans or the media.

Hub seems to play off this negative approach to things all the time. Even when he is announcing he seems to be the odd man out in terms of opinions. I think he just wants to sell more of his brand and is using controversy to do so.
Can't people just get off of it already until we see what we have? Because even if one of the players we took goes bust there will be a thousand guys saying I told you so, we should have taken "<fill in player name here>" instead. Who knows if that other player would have done well here either. So much goes into whether a player does well in the NFL, not the least of which is coaching and politics and timing. The right player, in the right place, at the right time, gets coached well, gets opportunities and doesn't get hurt and has a fabulous career. The next guy doesn't get the breaks and blows up. Either way, I bet any one of us could have come up with literally hundreds of combinations for a draft that would "work" for the Bears, but in the end this is WHAT WE HAVE TO WORK WITH. So let's stop second guessing before there is a basis for doing so...like training camp, pre-season and the regular season...2 or 3 years from now. Because THAT is when you really find out what this year's draft investment has paid in terms of dividends to the progress of the team. One or two players may contribute right off the bat (O-Line, O-Line, O-Line), but the whole thing comes together a bit further in the future.

Yeah, just like all the great picks last yearWe were coming off a SB season and didn't think we needed that much help, at least not right away. After last season, we found out that we really did need dome guys to come in right away and this draft wa taken more seriously.

I agree. And what is wrong with the Olsen pick? he looked pretty good helping beat the Packers in Green Bay! He didn't fumble, he made some great catches, he's a beast going after the ball, and he gets YAC. He also keeps his mouth shut and plays. Not a bad first round pick first year contribution IMO.
W-T-F are u talking about... didn't think we needed much help? Did we win? This draft was taken more seriously? Please explain, in your own words, when NFL drafts should be taken more and less seriously by an NFL Franchise. This should be good.

Tony Ugoh was what was wrong with the Olsen Pick.
Arkush is a moron and always will be. He's been sour grapes ever since he got his dumb *ss kicked out of the broadcast booth. Ever since then he's been taking snipes at the Bears...knee-jerk.
