    Washington D.C. & Da Bearssss!

    Union Pub
    201 Massachusetts Ave.
    Washington, DC 20002
    (202) 546-7200
    http://www.unionpubdc.com/sports.html

Union Pub (UP) became home to many local Bears fans in 2006 year when they outgrew a smaller bar about halfway through the season. This year will be their second official season the UP will host Bears fans, who will again be given the whole back room and patio.

The UP typically draws anywhere from 50-150 Bears fans.

The pub has many televisions, including two 52-inch plasmas, a 50-inch plasma and a 100-inch projection screen, an Urlacher fathead, the famous "Shrine to Ditka" and offers food and drink specials.

    There's no cover.

    Bearssssss!!!!

What about the Billy Goat Tavern near Gtown Law School?  Is that the place that was outgrown?  That place is pretty cool IMO.

Re: Washington D.C. & Da Bearssss!

No, the place we outgrew was Uptown Tavern in Cleveland Park.

I agree the Billy Goat is cool but it is small, really, really small.  Doesn't it have the seating capacity for ~ 30-40 people?

The Union Pub has been great to us. You should come by sometime.

While I do work in DC, I live West of Baltimore.

Does anyone know of a place like the Union Pub that is a little closer to Home?

Re: Washington D.C. & Da Bearssss!

We had 60+ Bears fans show up for the victory against the Colts and we'll likely have even more Bears fans show for the game against the Panthers.  Bear Down!!!!
