Exactly what I was thinking Bill.  I'm thinking about PMing the Mods to look into this.  The past few days there has been alot of this.  Someome new signs up with a "bait" thread title, just to advertise NFL gear for sale.  I believe this falls into the category of "spamming."

$1,000 an acre. Hows that sound? Too good to pass up?

The grass only needs watering once every 15 years, see. Mother nature takes care of it at that point, so the owner of the property gets off scott free. Its brilliant really, a true wonder of nature. Just like Ol' Faithful.

What do you say? Ok Ok Ok... $999 an acre. Final offer.

I assume he means the hooves and bladders of migrating wildebeests usually take care of any overactive lawn issues....

People are cleaning up, rebiulding, trying to get past it.  It's funny how resiliant people can be, and it makes me proud. The big catchphrase here now is "Well, it's sure going to make people forget the floods of '93".  Great stuff.

AS for the houseboats, we have a place called "Ellis Park" where there were alot of  "floating cabins" that were sort of illegal, but "off the radar" as it were.  They were not allowed to improve on them or add any more because it was "illegal" to have them there or whatever it was. (I noticed the city or whomever still collected fee's and taxes, which is an issue now)

The flood broke them loose and the ended up stuck against the railroad bridge that feeds Quaker Oats.  When the water receded they were just ripped to shreds as they were pulled under the bridge. There are still peices of them along the bank, and the occasional peaked roof sticking out of the water.

But all in all, we are coming back. Stil alot of trash along the streets waiting to be picked up, and the "City of Five Smells" has some new ones (WOW! Phew!) but we are a scrappy bunch.

    WE SHALL RETURN!!!

Edit: I'm told there is still no power or other services in the town of Palo, which is incidentally, where the Nuclear power plant is.

    Bassman,

In Palo, i hear they need ONE more exstension cord to plug into...... man being 50 FEET short of a Nuclear Power plant HAS to piss someone off....

As for the floods... THAT has to suck. "We'll make em forget 93"...LOL In twenty year they'll be..."we'll make em forget 08!!!!!"....too funny.

IUts the same out here, people build a "Dream Home" in the forrest, then when it burns down... they go " WE'll be BACK!!!!!"....man
