    BEARS/atlanta falcons TAILGATE week 6 Oct. 12th

Never too early to start working on the Falcons game and tailgate. Do any atlanta area fans know of a good lot or meeting spot by the georgia dome or reccomendations?.. I'm all ears for this one and will be happy to organize or help with it
“All I was trying to say is, we’ve got Chicago fans coming down, there’s going to be a lot of them, they get excited for their football team, they get excited to come to the game. So, in turn, them coming to the game brings a football atmosphere that I’m used to, and that gets me excited . ..richie incognito

I have a friend that is an ATL season ticket holder.  I'll ask.  Either way-I'm in.

Re: BEARS/atlanta falcons TAILGATE week 6 Oct. 12th

I've been checking out the Falcons message boards.  It seems there are a couple options:

PDF Map of Parking at Georgia Dome

    "The Gulch" (Lots A&B):

    Cost:  $25

    Posted by rhourk:
Directions can be found here http://www.atlantafalcons.com/Venues/The_D.../The_Gulch.aspx

I think lots A&B still open 5 hours before the game. I arrive about 9am for a nice selection of parking spaces. If you get tehre after 10, just squeeze in wherever you can and don't look twice and the people frowning at you because tey have to move their grill so you can squeeze in.

No open flames? I have two charcoal grills going, and I am a small time player. Maybe a grill with a cover is not considered an open flame? In any event you already have your gas grill so you will be fine, but charcoal is fine too.

You will want to bring a folding table, some trash bags,a football, hand sanitizer (this is a biggie and you will knwo why when you see the port o johns), and beyond that it's just how far do you want to take it. I have a pavillion which is nice, you wil see a lot of them out there. You can get them at wall mart or REI, and if you are hard-core you can get the Falcon's pavilion at Falcons 365.

    Lot C:
-easy to get in and out
    -tailgating is just "OK"

    Blue Lot:

Cost:  $7.50 (as posted on FalconsLife)

IMO, the Gulch or the Blue Lot would seem like the best places to gather.  Larger lots that are close to the Dome.

I'm a huge Bears fan from the state of Tennessee. I'm not sure where my seats are but they came from my company with a parking pass. With that said, I would like to hook up and tailgate with other Bears fans if possible. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Meet at any dental office in Georgia. The parking lots are always empty.

As an aside, I didn't realize Ticketmaster raises their prices close to 400%.  I received my tickets today and they show the price being $25 (per ticket - two tickets).  Ticketmaster charged me $97.  I don't have a problem with markup that is reasonable, but almost 400% markup?

Always trust your instincts.  Something told me to buy the tickets directly from the Atlanta Falcons.  Too late now.  For the price Ticketmaster charged I could have probably gotten premium seats.

I looked and StubHub's prices were similar to Ticketmaster.

you bought off ticketmaster exchange (which is the same idea as stubhub).  ticket master i noticed is very sneaky in the way they send you that way vs just the "regular" sale tickets...

I THINK when you buy them through the team website, you are actually linked to Ticketmaster.  So unless you go to the ticket window, I don't think it would make a difference.

How did they break out those extra fees?

On the invoice the tickets themseleves show $97 (each).  There's a service charge of $29.10 and a shipping charge of $14.95.
