10. Chicago: Rex Grossman -- Now that he's officially the Bears backup, Grossman at least jumps to the top third in the league in terms of No. 2's. He's the second quarterback on the list with a Super Bowl start to his credit, and he's a guy who seems to perform better when the expectations are lowered.
16. Minnesota: Gus Frerotte -- Frerotte has been a backup for nine of the past 10 seasons, but he still keeps finding somebody's clipboard to hold. He's in his second go-round with Minnesota, and has worn seven different uniforms. I've always thought of him as the type of quarterback who looks worse the more he plays, but for short stretches, you can still win some games with him.
31. Detroit: Dan Orlovsky -- The Lions expect 2007 second-round pick Drew Stanton to eventually replace Orlovsky in the No. 2 role behind Jon Kitna (and then hopefully replace Kitna), but the ex-Michigan State star will miss about a month with a sprained right thumb. That leaves the backup job to Orlovsky, a fourth-year veteran who hasn't thrown a regular-season pass since his rookie year of 2005.
32. Green Bay: Brian Brohm -- You know the story here. No quarterback on the Packers roster has ever started a game in the NFL. Not fourth-year man Aaron Rodgers, and not rookies Brohm and Matt Flynn. Some personnel men believe Brohm could develop into a quality starter, but for now the Packers have the thinnest QB depth chart in the league.
hardhitter47:...and they say we have a bad QB situation. If ours is bad, than GBs must be_______(fill in the blank)
Yep think its beyond a huge mistake ( and seems national media does also) to go into a year w/o any Qb experiene or NFL game speed experience, crazy to depend on rook's.. its set up to fail
Btw rdogers injuries go back to highs chool( like harrell's)
The knee concerns potential teams. Rodgers repaired his partially torn ACL before the 2004 season after playing on it since his junior year in high school.
IHATETHEBEARS:Thank goodness for the first string.
LOL.. we shall see
Somehow think you will be singing a new tune soon, as Usual..
didn't you want soemone else as your starter just a few weeks back as "the best move for pakcers in 2008"??? ..hmmmmm

Yes I did. But what does the first string have to do with the second?

Exactly. Brian Brohm is second string.

BB is garbage too. All of GBs QBs stink.
geno59:Bear fans would know about stinky QB's. You have plenty of experience in that area.
Our QB situation is 3x better than GBs. Just admit it Geno, the infamous one is gone and GBs chances of winning anything has been demolished.

DBears-when did I ever say GB's backup QB situation was good? Why do you insist on saying things that are completely untrue? What I said and what I've always said was that I would much rather have GB's trio of QB's over the bears trio of QB's. Nothing more. The rating also clearly shows that GB's qb's are ranked last due to inexperience-not because they are bad as you might suggest.

Just admit it Geno, the infamous one is gone and GBs chances of winning anything has been demolished. I will admit that it is nearly impossible to replace a player such as Favre. However, I don't think Chicago's QB situation is 3x better than GB's. I have always said that I believe GB will have a better year than Chicago despite our QB situation (inexperience). I'm NOT saying GB will win the SB this year (although that would be nice) but I do believe the team and it's QB's will play better than what you might
