The disaster that is my fantasy football team...

So about 70% of my team's decent players are on BYEs this week(It's not like Peyton Manning or Randy Moss were helping anyway) or are injured (EFF YOU WILLIE PARKER) so this week, my starting players look more like the island of misfit toys. My second quarterback, Kitna, is even on a BYE, and some punk in my league picked up Trent Edwards and JT O'Sullivan just to spite everyone.

So take a look at this and laugh. My team's starting roster for Week 4:

    QB: Kyle Orton
    WR: TJ Houzmendashsahshasahs
    WR: Brandon LLoyd
    WR: Eddie Royal
    RB: Steve Slanton
    RB: Michael Bush
    TE: Ben Scaife
    W/R: L'Ron McClain
    K: Rob Bironas
DEF: Buffalo (hey, they're playing STL)

As I said before, my bench looks like:

    Manning
    Dallas Clark
    Randy Moss
    Anthony Fasano (Miami TE)
    and a hurt Willie Parker
    NY Giants D

Any suggestions for pick ups or trades let me have it. I'm actively trying to pawn off Manning and Moss, but they've been sucking so bad this season it's been very difficult to get anything decent in return.

Keep an eye out on who has been a hot pick up. Usually that means that they are going to look for more play time. If Mendenhall wasn't picked up, get him. The Steelers starting RB is injured. Stuff like that.

Also, keep an eye out for who has been dropped. Usually in bye weeks, some quality guys gotta go. So pick them up when you can.

For QB I would pick up JT O'Sullivan and drop Orton.

Re: The disaster that is my fantasy football team...

Its really not that bad... KO and B Lloyd could get you 25-30 points combined. if not they'd be the two weakest links on your team.

TJ Houz had a great game last Sun and they're playing Cleveland, great matchup.

Royal has cooled off, but Denver is playing KC! GREAT matchup!

Slaton is on fire and played lights-out against the best Fantasy D in the Titans last week. He should be okay @ Jacksonville.

Bush might see carries with everyone else banged up on the Raiders.

Bo Scaife has been very good. (He's my TE too) and the Vikings' pass D isn't very good.

    Bironas; kickers are dime-a-dozen

Buff D is very good. Depending on who your opponent is, I wouldn't feel too bad about your team. Keep an eye out up until gametime, but this week is the first bye week and everyone freaks out. Keep calm!

Stop watching ESPN for anything other than highlights (especially NFL Live), it only makes you a worse human being. Scour the internet for stats, vids, and non-bias commentary... you'll be much more of an intelligent fan.
