The Bears go into week five with their heads held high. The Bears defense looked very sharp last week against the Eagles and they hope the momentum will carry over into this week . Kyle Orton will need to limit his turnovers and Matt Forte should expect close to 30 carries, with Brandon Lloyd out and Marty Booker questionable. Greg Olsen should expect to get a few more passes this week also.
The Lions go into week five without a win and hope the firing of Matt Millen will produce some positive change. Look for Rudi Johnson and rookie Kevin Smith to split the carries until one shows they can break the Bears defense. Jon Kitna and Calvin Johnson will need to have some big hook ups, if they hope to match up against the Bears.
The Bears are the promising team in this match up and if they can limit the amount of turnovers, they will prevail. Look for Matt Forte to destroy the Lions defense and and possibly have a career day. For the Lions to have any chance, they will need to get the run game going early, which will open up the passing lanes for Kitna
Yes I have Forte and drafted him in the 8th round! I knew he had potential but figured he would be my number 3 back behind Gore and Larry Johnson but have been using him more than Johnson. Hope he has a huge day today more as a Bear fan but it would also help me in fantasy.
I also have Olsen and he has not done a lot yet but is another bear who could have a big day against the Lions.
I drafted Forte and the Bears Defense.
But since then I had to release by backup TE so I signed Greg Olsen. I also just signed Devin Hester since I put Anquan Boldin on IR until he is healthy.
Forte might be my best player along with Rivers, Turner and Gore.
I have a good team, good enough that I'll never even have to start Devin Hester.
SnapToHester:I picked him up in like 3 out of 4 of the leagues I play in, and I will explain why....#1. I try to only draft RBs that are not in a 1-2 tandem. Fred Taylor, and Maurice Jones Drew, 2 great backs that I avoided this year, figuring they would be splitting carries. I went after people like Frank Gore, Michael Turner and.....Matt Forte.#2. It was obvious during TC that Forte would be the number one back on a team with a very weak looking passing game.#3. In most leagues you could get him later in the draft. My main league, we have 2 RB slots, 2 WR slots, and 2 W/R slots. Thats 4 possibilities of putting in a running back, and I have Forte, Michael Turner, Frank Gore, and another surprise rookie in Steve Slaton. If only my first round pick, Terrell Owens, would live up to his hype, I would be undefeated dangit!
I think Gore is gonna have a huge day today.
Packer Fan:"Any intelligent Bears fan knows that the Packers suck."
My RB's are Parker, Forte and Turner. Forte has been my beast! Lucky I am a Bears fan because I knew he would be awesome.
Yeah ~ I have him... I remember when I drafted him... everyone was like, Forte who? Ha, now they know.
I have Forte, Lynch , and the Burner.
I never know who to start.
Yep, got him in both my fantasy teams. He's paired with AP in one (the good AP, not ours!) and Johnson (Titans rookie RB) in the other. I'll be taking Johnson out probably next week, just hoping he has a good game this week.
Anyway, hopefully Forte will have a great game against the Lions. GO BEARS!!
I was offering him Kurt Warner. He was being stubborn. So no. I don't have Forte.
