    Post-Lions Mock Draft

    ..and the saga continues...

Well, we seem to be doing much better this week, and I project us to go between 13-18 (only because I dont think I can move us down by more than 5 spots...and we just played the Lions so...). We get a 3rd for Berrian and a 6th for Ayenbendejo.

    1(1): Eugene Monroe (OT)
Athletic and big. Great run and pass blocker. We can put him in at RT immediately. Tait doesnt deserve that money. Right now, St. Clair is out performing him. I really dont see more than 2 tackles go off the board in the top 10. There is more talent through QBs, RBs, WRs, SS, LB, ect.

    2(2): Kraig Urbik (OG)
Fiarly large and muscular. The 3rd best OG on my board, but he is a better pulling OG than Herman Johnson.

    3(3):
    Colt McCoy (QB)
Hes got great speed and toughness, along with a great desire to win. He lacks an excellent arm, however. He also doesnt read defenses that great, which is the reason he slips. He declares because he knows he wont go any earlier in 2010.

    4(3): Anthony Heygood (OLB)
I know the coaches really like Roch and all to replace Hillenmayer. I think Roach is a better MLB than a OLB, so we get Heygood since he is fiast and good at tackling.

    5(4): Ramses Barden (WR)
Really big and fairly fast. Small school porospect that put up big numbers.

    6(5):
    Lawrence Wilson (DE)
    Really big and fast.
Not that great in statistics and he broke his leg last season.

    7(6): Brannan Southerland (FB)
Instead of putting that hunk of fat in front of Forte, we put a proven run blocking FB wwith pretty good speed.

    8(6): Jon Cooper (OC)
Lethal run blocker to replace Kreutz.

    9(7): Troy Kropog (OT)
Very fast and athletic for an OT. He needs to build muscle to hold his own ground against NFL DEs and LBs, but he is big and fast. From Tulane.

    QB: Orton, McCoy, Hanie
    RB: Forte, Jones, AP
    FB: Southerland
WR: Lloyd, Hester, Bennett, Booker, Davis, Barden
    TE: Clark, Olson, Davis
    LOT: Williams, St. Clair
    LOG: Beekman/Urbik
    OC: Kreutz
    ROG: Beunning, Garza
    ROT: Monroe, Tait

    DE: Ogun, Brown, Anderson, Wilson
    NT: Dusty, Adams, Toeina
    DT: Harris, Harrison
    SLB: Heygood, Hillenmayer
    MLB: Urlacher, Roach
    WLB: Briggs, Williams
    CB: Tillman, Vasher, Graham, McBride
    SS: Payne, McGowan, Steltz
    FS: Brown, Manning

    P: Maynard
    K: Gould
    LOS: Mannelly

Monroe won't be available in the middle of the first round.

    Urbik is a solid pick.

McCoy is not going to be an NFL starter.

We have no need for a LB.

    Re: Post-Lions Mock Draft

I don't know if he'll declare, or where he'll go if he does, but I'd like to see Andre Smith, OT from Alabama. 6'4, 340. That's a RT.

I like the thinking with McCoy, but I don't think he'll come out this year unless Texas wins a NC. He's a leader and an athlete, even if he's not the best passer available. I like him, but QB could play itself out over the course of this season.

I'm not really for the LB pick. I'd replace that with a DE

I doubt we get a G with the second pick.  I think we'll see a DE there, or a WR or a ILB.

We do have a need for a linebacker. Hillenmeyer is terrible.

I would be very happy with that draft Barden imo could easily be a stud at the next level.
