I suspect that Bears fans in the Indy/Carmel area are few and far between, but I figured I'd give this a shot anyway.  I recently took a job in Indianapolis, which pulled me away from my Peoria, IL roots.  I'm kind of stressing out about the upcoming season, as I'm not sure I'll find a decent place to watch our Beloved on a decent size screen with audible audio.  I sure can't afford to shell out money for Direct TV in order to watch the games in the comfort of my own home.  If anyone knows of a place that shows Bears games without relegating them to a puny TV on mute in the Indy/Carmel area, please let me know.  Thanks in advance for your replies!

Hey....there is a bar on the corner of 56th and Keystone called Locals Only.  I know it sounds wierd but all they play is Bears games.

I just moved from Indy and all of my friends and about 20 other Bears fans went to Buffalo Wild Wings at Castleton.  Always busy and there's a section for Bears fans!

BWWs in castleton is definitely the best spot.

Just to let you all know, we (Locals Only...art & music pub) are a Chicago Bears EXCLUSIVE bar when it comes to gametimes.  We show the game on our big screen as well as most of our other TVs.  No other game takes precedent.  We started this 4 games into the season last year due to my partner and several nearby friends who are all huge Bears fans...I'm a newbie but have become obviously diehard.  Gameday is 90% Bears fans (even if the Colts are playing) and the comraderie makes it feel as close to being in a Chi Town bar as is possible.  Many Chicago locals as well as many region peeps.  We serve authentic Chi-Dogs and our beer selection is one of the best around featuring numerous Goose Island beers on special (Matilda people!).  BWW's is definitely a great atmosphere and although we cannot compete with size and number of TVs (we have 8..100inch plus strategically placed others) I will put our food (especially our wings) up against theirs anytime.  Plus we have a crane machine full of Bears/Cubs items!
Check it out early in the season and you can always go elsewhere if it doesn't suit your style.  I think you'll dig it!

I bumped this because it looks like the first weekend that the Colts will be on TV instead of the Bears.

Went to Locals Only last Sunday, great place, highly recommend it.

I was there, too. I was blown away by the solidarity in this place. Practically everyone in there was in a Bears jersey, and was glued to the large television across from the bar for the duration of the game. This is THE place for real Bears fans in Indy. I will be there for the remaining Sundays on the schedule, beer budget permitting.

Man I have lived in Indy for 2 1/2 years and never found a Bears bar. I go to about 6 games a year so I usually dont have to worry about missing games due to colts games. I will be there this Sunday though. What time do I need to get there to insure a seat. Also do you guys have Fat Tire on tap?

anybody hitting up locals only sunday

As is tradition for blacked out games, Locals Only will be packed for the Bears game Sunday.  the beer/alcohol selection varies because of A) No money  B) Don't know what the weekend drinkers are going to drink and C) No liquor to be bought on Sunday.  100% of the crowd are Bears fans...and dressed the part.  It really is a cool scene especially in the heart of Indy.  If you haven't been here yet for a game I suggest you do so.  Good time.  Open at 11:30.
