    Dennis DeYoung

Just go back from seeing him rock at Westchester Fest, not bad for an old guy in white pants.

Playing Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park tomorrow, for free.

    That's cool.

I like the freebie shows from the aging bands.  I saw Blues Traveler a month or so ago at one of the local Indian gamblin halls and they were awesome.  John Popper has an amazing voice to go along with the amazing harmonica playing.  The rest of the band aren't slouches either.

He's on some cable show this morning. I turn on the TV while we are still in bed and my GF says "Who's butchering Come Sail Away?"

Loathed Styx - especially Dennis "Mr. Roboto" DeYoung.  (And growing up on the south side, that s*** was inescapable.)

Pointless factoid - prior to Styx, he briefly taught music at my mother's grammar school.  ("We're happy for ya!"  Yes, yes...thank you.)

Well there isn't much sex AFTER marriage so what do you expect us to do?

I thought Styx was great until they went "radio" after the Grand Illusion album. After that is was all crap.

You can't butcher what was never alive in the first place.  But those later Styx singles did rate about the same.
