It was obvious there was never any real chance that Favre would play for the Vikings this year. The plan was to play up the possibilty of Farve joining the team so that disappointed Vikings fans wouldn't balk when they sign Vick. Vick was always their goal and they have timed it all perfectly so far.

Haha, I hope not. Vick is just a glorified runningback. I would much rather stick with Tarvaris/Sage.

What does that have to do with Favre, Vikings, or the Vikings pursuing Vick. Not trying to bust you down or nothing but that was a pretty irrelevant post to this thread. Just saying.

There are several reasons why I think Vick-Minnesota is a likely arrangment. Several that immediately come to mind:

No huge PETA presence in Minnesota.

Vick would have no problem buying a large chunk of land out in the wilds where the press and animal loving Vick-haters can't get to him.

No chance Vick's Georgia scumbag clingers-on will follow him to Minnesota, its too cold and they would probably get lost and die if they tried.

Ultimately, with their current QB situation they have nothing to lose, and Vick would have a genuine shot at some playing time his first year back. Given Favre's debacle last year, to have even been considering him (purportedly), Minnesota must be desperate; maybe as desperate as Vick is to find a home.

Everything you just said there with regard to Minnesota can also be applied to Green Bay and the Packers.

I think there are even fewer PETA members in Wisconsin, there has to be just as much, if not more desolate land in Wisconsin, just as cold in Wisconsin, just as bad 2nd/3rd string QB situation, if not worse in Green Bay.

I could really see him going to either the Vikings or Packers.
