Players I am keeping an eye on for the 2010 draft

    OT Anthony Davis (Jr) Rutgers
    Height: 6-6. Weight: 335.

May be better suited for guard but in either case he's probably big enough to play RT and if not we still need a guard.

    OT Chris Scott Tennessee
    Height: 6-5 Weight: 342

Bigger guy who supposedly is a very excellent run blocker. Might be an interesting play at RT.

Antonio Baker FS 5'11 200 Louisiana Tech
He's supposedly a very good tackler and because he's from a small school he may be around in the 4-5th. We also seem to love dbs from louisana. Think Tillman and Payne are both from Louisiana schools along with Steltz.
    Wins - @GB, @Seattle, Detroit, @Cincinnat, Cleveland,
Philadelphia, St. Louis, Green Bay, Minnesota, @Detroit

    Losses - Pitt, @Atlanta, Arizona, @San Francisco, @Minnesota, @Baltimore
    Prediction: 10-6(Best/Worst case +/- 1)

It's pretty much the same as last year's draft.

I think we need guards more. How about John Perry from Ole Miss? 6'5" 355lbs. Is a excellent run blocker! Should still be around with our 3rd pick.

Well the current bear philosophy is T's who can play guard. Plus, it's not like we don't need a young T as well. I think you draft a tackle who's flexibile and if he fails as a T you move him to guard.

The 1st two rounds usually suck for us anyway maybe we can pick up some mid round picks and let Jerry work his magic. Like 3rd 4th and 5th.

Keep an eye on C.J Spiller Rb from Clemson. Dude has world class speed and can take it to the house on any play.

I don't think we have a shot at Spiller. He should be gone in the first round. I like Andre Anderson from Tulane.

It's John Jerry, though, but as far as Senior guards, I like Mike Iupati from Idaho, Sergio Render from Virginia Tech, Kurtis Gregory from Missouri, and Jon Asamoah from Illinois better than Jerry.

True but say we pick mid 3rd round more than likely the top 7or 8 Tackles will be off the board, though one of the top 3 guards should be available by the time we pick.  More than likely we will have a franchise player on the OL with on of the top guards out of college and a failed T moving to G may not be the best move either.

Anyone know who the starting guards are for Iowa? I dont watch college hardly at all, but caught some of the Iowa game last week and noticed that their RG was pretty impressive in run and pass blocking. I'm all for taking the best OG available with our first pick this year, or a stud blocking FB. But OG and Center should be a main focus.

Re: Players I am keeping an eye on for the 2010 draft

For all the hype it has gotten, the 2010 draft class looks kinda weak to me.

QB is deep but I don't really see any Peyton Manning type players. Bradford has a lot of questions surrounding him. Clausen is a bit of a one year wonder. Sneed has played horribly. Tebow isn't a typical QB. All of those realistically could go first round and I don't have any issue with that. But, from a massive talent stand point I'd be surprise if more than 1 of them turned out to be a pro bowl player.

RB is very weak and probably even worse than last year's weak class. I get the feeling teams in need are going to reach on Spiller.

WR looks pretty weak to me right now. Bryant is probably still a first round talent. Possibly Benn as well but overall it's not that exciting.

OL and DT looks pretty solid though I'm glad we picked up Gaines Adams because there are a lot of tweeners at DE.

    LB are kind of meh

    DBs look pretty good.

What's good is that a lot of teams have a drafted OTs in the first 2 rounds over the past 3 years. 20 teams have taken 21 OTs. So, you would think that the likely hood of a OT falling this season would be high.

    The teams that haven't
Seattle - seems likely a need for them
Saints - no that familiar with their line but doesn't appear to be a huge issue
    Packers - huge need
    Cowboys - no need currently
Philly - traded for Peters so no real need
    Redskins - possible need
    Pitt - probable need
Titans - Seem to have a pretty decent OL
    Jets - don't think there's much of a need
    Buff - need
    Oakland - need(?)
Chargers - no need if they resign some players
    Wins - @GB, @Seattle, Detroit, @Cincinnat, Cleveland,
Philadelphia, St. Louis, Green Bay, Minnesota, @Detroit

    Losses - Pitt, @Atlanta, Arizona, @San Francisco, @Minnesota, @Baltimore
    Prediction: 10-6(Best/Worst case +/- 1)

Re: Players I am keeping an eye on for the 2010 draft

Dace Richardson is one of the starting guards at Iowa.  He is good.  I also like the center, Rafael Eubanks, and the right tackle, Kyle Calloway.  And if the left tackle, Bryan Bulaga comes out early, they could have four players from that line play pro ball.

According to Walterfootball.com 2010 mock draft.

    81. Chicago Bears: Thomas Austin, G, Clemson
Matt Forte fantasy owners, direct your hate mail toward left guard Frank Omiyale, who can't open up any running lanes for his star back.
