yes, of course. let's support them even more by bringing them home from the middle east and not sending any more of them to die. there is no victory to be had.

I cant agree with you more unfortunately, I'm not the one with my finger on the the trigger of that decision, but they still have my support here or there, even though I think the time for them to come home was a while ago.

Right. But I am sure you understand that we do not have the authority to bring them home right? However, people can go out and buy yellow ribbons to show their support. I just wanted to make sure you understand what authority citizens actually have before you mock them.

All that "yellow ribbon" crap is so stupid. Like having flags all over your car. It's false patriotism and it makes ME "absolutely sick", mainly because 90% of those "patriots" who said that if we don't love Bush we "hate the troops" are the same ones caloing Obama a "Socialist" who wasn't born in this country.
I pay may taxes, so I support the troops. I do not support the Iraq war, and I think the time has long past for one in Afghanistan. We are not going to go after OBL because the Saudis won't let us, so what's the point?

Because others think differently than you. Many people don't believe it's stupid and don't care what your opinion is. I personally don't have any ribbons or flags on my house or vehicles, but I don't go into an emo rampage like you do.

If Obama is a socialist, Bush is too. His administration used government money for private stimulus and were the originators of the massive bailout package.
The truth is, neither of them are remotely close to being socialist. If you had any understanding of what socialism really is, you would know that.

you can't do it can you...the world did not begin when GW took or left office.
No, it began with Reagan. Your "messiah"
The taking over of private corporations is the act of a socialist gov't.
Maybe if they had run their companies with a bit of, well...HONESTY, the governemtn wouldn't have to save their a$$es. Maybe he should have let all the banks just collapse. That would have been great.
America is set up to be a capitalistic economy with minimal intervention from the gov't.
And that worked out VERY well...at least for the uber rich.
you will point to how great this has turn out.
yup...
but since you cannot see past the last 9yrs...no one had a problem with capitalism during the clinton yrs or in other times of dems presidents...why now?
Because Clinton didn't cut taxes for the rich, allow corporatins to write their own legislation, and then start wars with countries that never attacked us.
Did Reagan continue to whine and complain about the mess he needed to clean up after Carter?
Actually, yes. He frequently blamed 'liberal policies". And Carter's "mess" was not nearly the mess we have after Bush. Reagan tried to kill the economy, but didn't quite get it done. Ask a farmer from that era how Reagan "helped" releive them of the burdon of all that work.
No he fixed it.
Oh yeah, for the rich. Not so much for the rest of us. His deregulation of the S&L's was particularly helpful.
you can attack reaganomics all you want but a simple fact that during those years the irs recieved more taxes with a lower tax rate than yrs with a higher rate. how can this be?
"Voodoo economics". Funny how the defecit exploded at that time.
when taxes are lower the rich invest more hide their money less.
Uh-huh. Sounds nice, but they "invest" in themselves, not the country.
this infusion of cash churns the economy and results in more tax money in the till. tax people that create jobs and they create fewer jobs and invest less and hide their money in greedy nasty ways. it is very simple.
So we get the blame for THEM being "greedy and nasty". Nice.

I wasn't trying to suggest there is balance, just pointing out how twisted the lobby is and how easily corrupted the Federal government has become. And in no way do I think we are treating the Palestinians fairly and in no way do I think this keeps us safer on US soil. That is the main reason the terrorists attacked us on 9/11 causing all of this perpetual war and death, the the Mossad didn't reveal their knowing of the attack before it happened because they wanted us to join in against Islam, and our government covered up for them to keep the American people from realizing we are and have been on the wrong side of this.

Nail on the head. I wish just 50% of America could see the truth as you can.
I didn't miss this.
This is how a Bears RB should run. Like Walter said..."never die easy." Mechanic, Left Tackle Mafia. Here to fix the ones that break down.

Please don't say that like it's anything close to equal. Israel, a wealthy, nuclear country perfectly capable of looking after itself receives more money from us in foreign aid than any country in the world. Second is Egypt for maintaining peace treaties with Israel.
Pro-Israel lobby groups are enormous in American politics. as a nation, as are overwhelmingly pro-Israel. The entire world votes to condemn Israel's brutal occupation of the West Bank and their illegal land grabs every year, and every year the condemnation is vetoed by one country. Guess who.
Even Amnesty International has condemned both the Israelis and Palestinians.
From your own link - According to the Center for Responsive Politics, pro-Arab organizations have spent $70,000 on lobbying efforts since 1998, while pro-Israel groups have spent $5.8 million within the same period.

Nice try guys, but not exactly. Former Italian President Cossiga gave the far more accurate account.

The Mossad didn't hide anything, they were in collusion with the CIA and the top echelon of the US government. US will always kiss Israel azz, they need no trickery to accomplish that.

Why do you think such a tiny country as Israel has the US by the balls?

There are plenty of reasons. It's not so much that they have us by the balls. It's just a special kind of love.
