ThadtheBear:I rewatched the vid of our last meeting with the Cards, Warner was on the sideline, and he was amazed at what the Bears D did to them. He's a great QB, but he has a little fear of the Bears D, which may make him throw the ball a little quicker than he wants to, and make mistakes. I think the Bears secondary is going to have a great game this week.
You heard it here first, campers :)
True but we have a MUCH different defense now than in 2006. The current defense is a shell of the former one. Sure they're still physical and can still get some turnovers but teams have figured them out. We don't have Mike Brown who was important in '06, Tommie Harris just isn't the same player he was then, the pass rush isn't as good, we're without two important starting LB's in Urlacher and Pisa, there are holes all over in the secondary, they aren't playing inspired defense like they were in 2006. They're just not the same and I think Warner is now licking his chops instead of quaking in his shoes.
