why is it a big deal?  because somewhere along the line, somebody got it in their head that respecting another country's culture was a bad thing, or a sign of weakness.  they seem to think it "makes us look bad."  but "look bad" to whom?  i think it can only help us when other leaders see our president being courteous to another leader.
