GParadox:so when he retired he was the leader in sacks by a DT. I dont think that was looked into because Sacks just started becoming recorded in 1982
That's true. Page and Greene both had over 130 by all accounts but still... The stat is the stat. If Sapp goes in, McMichael is a legitamate arguement cuz his body of work is ...

Why isn't he ever talked about?
At 95 sacks he is [ as far as I could find ] 2nd all time only to Warren Sapp [ 96.5 ] at the DT postion.
Further comparisons to Sapp show that Mongo was more productive...MUCH more.
McMichael had 838 career tackles in 213 games... Sapp only 573 in 198.
McMichael averaged 90 tackles per year over a 8 year span ...

That would be a good start. Then maybe they could talk Jeff Szamardija into putting his pads back on. I was told his baseball contract was 3 years baseball exclusive though it was a 5 year deal in total. I'm not sure and haven't googled it.

Babe Ruth in baseball... and Jim Brown AND Doug Atkins in Football. I wish I could have seen him play. My Father was best of ...

I was hoping Adrian Wilson held out here in Arizona and got dealt. Then Brownie could come home and retire.
I just moved here in Scottsdale and now live a few blocks from Saguaro High School where he played. They have won 3 [?] State Championships in a row.... They'd finish last in the Catholic League though. lol

That would be cool Mavie for the Cardinals to have a homecoming. Next year marks the 50th Ann. of Bidwell taking Big Red to St. Louis.
Hope it doesn't happen though. It's bad enough we gotta let all those drunk college kids from Wisconsin, Indiana and Iowa [3/4 of Cub fans] into Comiskey 3 times a year for ...

Before I say this, let me first state: Walter Payton is the greatest player in NFL history. That's why it's his BIG picture behind the anchors on the NFL Network's set. That being said...
Payton played at a time in the 70's when Brian Urlacher would have been a good sized lineman. Yes guys started getting ...

I'm nervous too...
I have no idea where we are gonna put the next four Championship trophies, I mean...the case is already full.
