  • Re: Beekman and Shaffer to start vs. bengals???

MDBear: Uncle Zeek: LMOLINARI78: Uncle Zeek: LMOLINARI78: I think Shaffer could play RG. I'd like to see: Pace, Beekman, Kreutz, Shaffer, Williams How did Shaffer look the last time you saw him play guard? I'm pretty sure Shaffer played Guard for Atlanta early in his career.  It's worth a look don't you think? I think it's been looked ...

  • Re: Say the 2010 NFL Draft is tommorow

Good call by all of you that thought we'd be getting a DE with our 2nd rounder in the 2010 Draft, now that we've traded it for Gaines Adams. Looks like, with Wale and Anderson's contracts expiring, DE was always right up there in JA's thoughts. Looks like I might have to wait another year to see us add a quality prospect to the OL. lol

  • Re: Lovie way better than Singletary.

Uncle Zeek:Wouldn't want to see lovie pantsless, that's for sure. ''We get off the bus with our pants around our ankles.'' I suppose it makes a change from ''Having Bob Babich as our DC was like sending our D out there with their pants around their ankles.'' I'm kidding, Lovie never said that last one. Should have though.   Back on ...

  • Re: Fullback Factor 1 - Return of the Smashmouth

BearzBrotherz:Greetings Bearz Friends,Why O Why not get a real fullback? It would not have cost that much and there is plenty of room under the cap.We should have drafted or picked up in free agency a big smashmouth runner.Say that with me my dear sweet Bearz friends, ''Smashmouth runner.''Can you imagine that as a counter to the brilliance of ...

  • Re: Say the 2010 NFL Draft is tommorow

jrcorleone:Best Player Available at either OT, DE, DT, CB. We could use another young OT to go with Chris Williams. We have issues at DE with age and expired contracts. AT DT we have some quality players but need to consider trying to add our next Tommie Harris., since our current addition is the game changer he was a few years back. We have some ...

  • Re: Say the 2010 NFL Draft is tommorow

Omeletpants:With all the money they sunk into OL this year, they will take defense next year. If only it was money well spent. As a result of overpaying for underperformers on the OL I'd still say that it is the current top priority in the draft. Unless a top OT prospect falls to us, beef up the interior of ...

  • Re: David Terrell hoping for a come back...

chibear51: discplayer:wasn't that draft the first - OF MANY - of Jerry Angelo's brilliant mistakes? Terrell, Anthony Thomas our first two picks. Terrell was absolutely a dreadful pick and after Thomas' rookie 1-year wonder, he was exposed as free agent, or low round level player, as well. and where are they both now? nice. if we made early to ...

  • Re: . . .for CUTLER'S SAKE ! ! ! ! !

Carpe Ursus: Big_Tyme_D:Three points- The line is almost totally rebuilt.  Replacing one... maybe two players usually take a few games to get it together as a unit.  We replaced three.- The Bears OLIne has not played great... but not as bad as chicken little and her friends claim.  Pass protection has been decent.  Run ...

  • Re: Things to work on in practice

    7. Swapping the starting o-line with the tackling dummies. Forte might appreciate it and maybe Briggs and Afalava can smack some sense into them. Might kill two birds with one stone...

  • Re: The Problem with the O-line?

scotty54:I thought Williams stood out as the worst lineman today Which is worrying when you consider how few picks we've actually spent on the OL over the last few drafts. The less you spend the more you need them to count. Hopefully the first rounder in him will eventually come out.
